Given that the places for the weights are not protected and it is just bare metal, I did worry that the weights would eventually break down in the pressure point areas where they rest in it over time, and take permanent damage. It is true that this comes with no instructions at all to put together, and you really have to stop and think about it for a while to make sure you have everything how it should go before committing to putting it together. All in all I found the product completely unusable, for the preference of damage prevention, and unhelpful by the manufacturers for how to put it together. ... show more

Yes the black dumbell stand was slightly cheaper but to have pink to use it in my bedroom, perfect. Well made, pretty easy to put together after I figured out the first two or three pieces. Holds my 15s, 12s, 10s and 8s dumbell sets no problem.
