When gas lines were finally installed only a couple days remained on return policy. Seller responded on my return request with questions on installation until return time had expired then fell silent. I am out $300. Don't be too upset when you get this and open the log box to find out a few have broken. If you're lucky they haven't but unfortunately on my part 2 did. Customer service wasn't to serviceable but rather fortunately for me I had extra logs from the one I was replacing with this unit. It wasn't too difficult to put together even with the replacement longs. Works just fine too, gives some nice heat so far. Don't have it running too long yet but when winter hits it should do fine. ... show more

    • Good product AFTER you fix it!!!

Good value gas log set, and far less expensive than most ventless LP alternatives but requires adjustment before it will work properly. Bought this dual fuel set for LP use, verified pressure requirements, installed it, pilot lit, burners lit, everything seemed in order until 10 minutes later the whole thing shut down including the pilot. Turn it off, back on, relight the pilot, turn it back on, cycle repeats. Only after banging my head for a few hours trying to figure out what was wrong and making sure the pilot was not clogged or other issues the pilot thermocoupler was clearly mounted too low for the pilot to keep it hot enough to function properly. Removed the 2 screws from the thermocoupler bracket, raised the thermocoupler up about 1/8”, tightened back up and bang now the unit works perfectly. Also, make sure the thermostat wire on the lower side of the unit is not touching the burner or will give a false high temp reading, it’s kind of dumb that they just use a bread bag tie to mount the wire to the undercarriage. If you aren’t handy this is most definitely NOT for you unless you hire and installer and they better have good troubleshooting skills or you will just be pissed off and likely return this product. ... show more

My husband and I bought 3 of these for our duplexes because I bought a different model of this brand before that worked great. When that model was unavailable, we bought 3 of these, assuming it was the same quality. The pilots on these are very difficult to light and will not stay lit. My tenants are unhappy with them. I didn’t get them installed until it was too late to return them. I’m out quite a bit of money on this. ... show more

You need to know that the gas connection is about midpoint at the back of the unit and connects out the right hand side and is about 4” off the floor.
