I picked these up before a long trip to Italy because I tend to get a little travel-sluggish in the digestion department. I figured these Dulcolax Soft Chews would be an easy, gentle solution. The mixed-berry flavor is surprisingly pleasant, and they’re very easy to pack — no bottles or powders, just a few chews tucked in a travel bag. I took them expecting quick relief (the label says “may work within 30 minutes”), but for me, it took closer to a full day before anything really happened. If you’re traveling, I’d recommend starting with a single chew earlier — maybe even on your flight — to give your body time to adjust. When they did start working, the effect was intense but effective. I probably overdid it by taking the full dosage at once since I didn’t feel anything initially. Lesson learned — start slow. Overall, these definitely do the job, just not as quickly or gently as I expected. I’d give them 4 stars for reliability but caution anyone to plan ahead timing-wise. Personally, I’ll still keep them on hand for emergencies, but I’ll stick to my usual coffee and abdominal massage routine first next time. ... show more

I like these alot. They taste very good. They are Made with Magnesium which is the only thing i can take for health reasons. Very little discomfort in the tummy. Took about 6 to 7 hours for relief. I took only 2. I'm taking another 2 today to keep things moving. I've suffered with constipation all my life and Magnesium is about the only thing I can take but I absolutely can not stomach the horrible liquid so to me these are a blessing. I've just discovered the chewies so I'll see if they continue to work. ... show more

The chewable are individually wrapped in foil but dry out fast and become hard. So if you don't use them on a regular basis. They go dry in a couple of months. It's easier to have the liquid version on hand.

Been struuuuuglin for 4 days, I tell ya. I was desperate. Had been drinking nothing but water and taking miralax for 3 days straight with no progress. Took 3 of these chews and bam. Updated. I've been taking 1 every day. Works pretty well for regularity without stomach aches. The 1st 2 days I was impatient. This med is not for immediate results unless you're fine with feeling pretty sick for a day. ----- On the 2nd day I took a few chews over 2 or 3 hours the 2nd morning finally did it. The first day I tried one in morning 1 in evening. Nothing. Happened. However, the next day I had the idea to try a bigger dose to see if anything could happen. I'm still feeling it a whole day later. My stomach is angry, grumbling, and turning over. This isn't great for me at all. This med either doesn't work or works too much.
