This is sturdy (pretty heavy), easy to assemble, and is great for a desk with or without a hole. I am using a desk without cord holes, and this works great!

The stand is sturdy, made of solid material (everything is metal), and everything fit together well with no real issue. However, when you have 2 LG Ultragear 32" Monitors, if they are anywhere other flat side by side, the stand will tend to lean forward and eventually fall. I would suggest using the included clamp, however that also involves drilling into whatever youre attaching the base to. ... show more

This dual monitor stand works well with two 27" LED monitors, each weighing about 10 lbs (4.4 kg) and oriented in landscape position. After reading multiple reviews that complained about the stand tipping over easily (the base is certainly not very heavy), I bit the bullet from the beginning and secured the stand to the desktop by drilling a hole through the desktop and using the provided hardware to attach the stand with a bolt through the grommet base into the support pillar. Besides eliminating the risk of the stand tipping over, mounting the stand to the desk made it easier to attach the two cumbersome LED monitors by myself. As other reviews have mentioned, the various set screws are extremely difficult to adjust. I suspect that is because they are screwing into what appear to be lock nuts, not simply because their threads are painted black. Whatever the reason, the set screws "stay put" once they are adjusted. After one month, I have no complaints with the monitor stand. ... show more

I was shocked how well this baby work. It supports 2 24 inch monitors with no problem at all. It was hard to get it balanced at first, but after playing with a few minutes, I was able to get it stable. It appears built strong and last, we will see. This stand works well but the base is not weighted so if you attempt to use monitors with wide variance in weight it can tip if you attempt to adjuser a monitor. Does come with hardware and instructions to drill a hole in the desktop and fasten accordingly. This needs to be outlined prominantly. Base should be weighted to make more steady when not using screw through the desk method. Overall happy but would not buy this again. ... show more

    • Just assembled and installed - so far so good
I work from home and I'm an online student so my monitors get plenty of use. I opted to try this setup because it seems to be a good mix of stability and saving space. Also, the reviews were good, so here I am. I just assembled and installed both monitors on top of a convertible sit/stand desktop. I appreciate that the assembly came with a clamp that fits through my desktop (it has a hole just for this). Assembling the stand was pretty easy and fitting the monitors was no problem. A couple of suggestions: 1. Don't rush it - and take your time putting this together so you understand how it works. 2. Make sure you tighten the screw down that attaches the arms to the stand and the screws that allow for tilt. I also liked that the stand has a place for the allen wrenches to rest for easy access if you want to adjust something. One thing that was a little annoyed with was that on one of the arms the adjusting screw head is positioned on the inside of the arm so that once the monitor is installed, it's a bit difficult to adjust and tighten. Difficult, but not impossible. Overall I really like the way the set-up looks and functions so far. I'll follow up after a while to give my impressions after it's been used a bit.
