Nice markers. The fine tip is really fine and sharp! I mean a very skinny perfect line! The brush end can be used with the tip or the edge to fill. Both produce consistent ink and the colors are very true to the cap colors. When I say this has every color I am not kidding! They put the slightest, most subtle hue difference in this. You will not need any other markers of this type for colors! It's too early to say if these last long but I will update my review if I find they run out quickly-what everyone hates in a marker!! These come in a really nice zip canvas case and are held in by elastic. I love this part! I have so many art supplies that I have to buy a separate container to hold them in. This is neat, tidy, and looks sharp! This would be a great gift to someone who likes drawing. Being able to flip through the 'pages' of pens to find every variation of a color and have smooth ink come out with very little bleed through on regular paper is awesome! The brush end could be a bit more flexible if I'm being picky. It's soft but not really a 'brush'. More just like a soft wide end. But I'm not mad at it. The fine tip is pretty impressive! I have purchased many different fine tips for projects and even expensive pens seem to disappoint. These, so far are very precise. That alone makes this set a winner for me! ... show more

When I was a child, I had a fascination with the giant box of crayons in allll the shade with the fun color names. I would color for hours. I was so excited to get these and be taken back to my childhood and am excited to have fun with my grandkids (pretending they are for them, but secretly loving every moment of using all the beautiful shades). My daughter is an artist, so I'm looking forward to what she will create with them, also. The thin tips are perfect for outlining, and the brush ends are ideal for filling in. The lovely variants of colors will make all the shading and details possible for any picture! The value is pretty great for all that are included. My favorite fineliner pens are on the pricey end and somewhat limited in colors, so I've been looking for a set of fineliners that offered a larger color selection. I hit the jackpot with these. It's a set of 72 colors, and not only are they all fineliners, but the other end of each pen is a "brush" pen, so I essentially got 72 markers, as well. They come in a lovely zippered case. It's made of a durable nylon material and when you unzip it it and unfold it to lay flat, there's a whole inner piece that houses markers on both sides (you can flip it either way easily to get to the other colors. I was concerned when looking at some of the colors because they looked SUPER close. A varied color selection is great, but no one wants to be told they are getting 72 colors only to find out you are getting multiple colors that look nearly identical. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised when I actually wrote with the markers. My photo above shows four different pink/purple markers that had caps that looks similar (not identical, but not far off from each other). However, as you can see in the photo, they are distinctly different colors. So that was a big relief and I'm thrilled to have truly received 72 different colors. I also thought that with the vibrancy of the colors that they would bleed right through my notebook paper. However, not only did they not bleed through, but you really can't even see them on the opposite side of the page. With the darker colors, you can see the shadow of a color (you can tell something is written on the opposite side), but other than that, I'd never even know something was written on the opposite side. As for the fineliners, they are okay. They definitely don't write as smoothly, vibrantly, or nicely as my more expensive ones, but I also wouldn't expect that. These are far more economical from a price standpoint. They are perfectly sufficient for what I want to use them for. This set also includes some replacement tips, which is something I've never received with a market set before. I thought that was a nice and thoughtful touch. If you are someone that likes to do arts and crafts for fun, use coloring books, do lettering, draw in journals, etc, I think you'll be totally happy with these. ... show more

This is a massive set of colored pens. It comes in a case about the size of a book - some six inches by 8-10 inches. It's about 3 inches thick. You unzip it to see one set of pens, then both sides flip out to reveal two more rows of pens each (a total of six rows of pens - all in the pictures for you to see). The case is slightly padded so it should travel well and give some protection. Then pen slots all have elastic bands to hold the pens tight - you shouldn't have to worry about them shifting during travel unless you're doing some crazy things (and if they did the case has a zipper, so they'd be held in anyhow). The pens have a flexible brush end on one side (slightly wider than the other) and then a fine tip pen/marker tip. I've attached a picture that shows two random colors with both sides. On the green one you can see the initial pen tip covered by the brush tip to show the size difference. The colors are very bright and flow well. I quite like that the set comes with three spares of each type of head and directions on how to use needle-nose pliers to swap the heads. If you do this be sure to keep the pen upright - otherwise you may end up with ink everywhere. This set should last a very long time - so many colors and so many options, in a nice protective case.
