I bought this for the 2019 Fire 7, it was hard to put on and it kept locking the screen in the middle of reading. My daughter has an older model kindle and it worked perfectly on hers. The case is beautiful it just wasn't made for my kindle.

Beautiful and well-made. Contrary to some reviews it really does fit the Fire 2019 tablet!!! Yes, *it is a very tight fit* the first time. Just don't attempt to press the tablet flat into the case. I put my tablet in similarly to the way you do a fitted sheet on a mattress--one corner at a time. Done slowly and carefully the silicone will give enough to securely hold your tablet. I even have a thin, glass protective shield on the face. The framing holding the tablet has even stretched enough to still allow for a very snug fit but is much easier to get the tablet in and out if needed. So, it fits securely, allows wake/sleep feature to function properly, the magnet on the closure has not adversely affected any tablet functions, and all of the cutouts are appropriately placed. I also Iove the style of using the case in landscape mode. This is my favorite case of various others I've owned over the years. Beautiful, well-made, affordable protection for your tablet!

The picture on the case is gorgeous! The case itself is very well built and sturdy. The magnetic closure and the feature that lets the Kindle stand on a table both appear to be very solid. The fit was snug (I am using it on the 5th Generation, 2015 release Kindle Fire) so it was a little challenging to get the Kindle into the case, but once I did I felt like it's very well secured and protected. The cutouts are aligned properly so it's very easy to turn on or off or plug in the charger. The stylus and cleaning cloth were a nice addition. I wish I had ordered this case a long time ago....it really "sparks joy" every time I look at it!

I bought this for a brand new kindle fire tablet 7", and there was noticeably too little room in the case interior for the device to come close to fitting. While it came with a screen wipe and stylus, and the outside was cute and true to the image, I didn't like the blue on the inside. Bottom line- it doesn't fit the device it claims to, no matter what you try. Do not spend your money on this!

I absolutely love this case. The design is so cute and it also sparkles which I wasn't expecting. It keeps my kindle fire secure, has card holders for license, credit cards etc. When we can eat indoors again I'll definitely bring it with me to read on a coffee break in a cafe. The stitched in stand for it is great for putting on the counter in the kitchen when I'm cooking. It just makes me happy to look at it on my desk too. Cute Cute Cute!

This case turns the Fire 7 tablet on and off as you open and close the cover. The problem is, when you fold the cover to the back to make the tablet more compact while in use it turns the tablet off then too. You can only use the tablet in easel style or hanging open like a regular book. This is very inconvenient and I will be returning the case unless I can figure something to block the magnetic field from the back of the tablet.
