  • Premium eye creams, a treat to use
I struggle with bouncing between dry skin and oily skin (as a reaction to dry skin), so I was curious to try this Drunk Elephant eye balm bundle that's targeted for dryness. Since realizing that active skincare ingredients can sometimes migrate to the eye itself, I've become more cautious about using products formulated for the eye area specifically instead of the general-purpose face products. I assume they're more gently formulated to be less irritating and better targeted for the pretty delicate skin that's around our eyes. These eye creams worked really well for me. They felt my skin feeling hydrated and softened, and the hydration helped subtly plump the skin and reduce the ultra-fine lines that appear when dehydrated. The resulting finish was not shiny but fairly neutral, very natural looking. It's quick to absorb and not sticky. And I didn't experience irritation. It's seeming like my skin responds well to ceramides, I may have to incorporate more of that into the rest of my routine. The pricing here is obviously not the most budget-friendly. This is a premium brand, and in skincare that tends to fetch a high premium. Nonetheless I was pretty happy with my experience using this. ... show more

  • Great Eye Cream, Decent but Underwhelming Moisturizer
There are two products in this bundle, so I'll review them separately. Ceramighty AF Eye Cream: This works really well for me in my routine, because I like to bring all my other skincare actives up around the eye area, and prefer my eye creams to be focused on moisture, hydration, and general skin health. This is a very gentle eye cream that helps smooth out my under eye area nicely. The formula is rich, but it melts into the skin and goes on very velvety. This can absolutely be used during the day and wont leave you with dewy, shiny under eyes - but it's also great for nighttime. It's a true AM/PM cream. It just provides a nice, satin, healthy skin finish. Lala Retro Whipped Cream Face Moisturizer: I liked this one a bit less than the eye cream. This is a very rich face moisturizer, but it has an interesting whipped texture that makes it easier to spread. When I put it on I was expecting it to leave a noticeable finish because it was so thick, but it actually absorbed almost immediately and even a few hours later feels soft and non-greasy. This is part of the rescue/recover line, like the eye cream, so the claims are focused on repair and moisture. I've been liking the mini-trial size in this bundle, but I feel it's a pretty standard product with nothing that makes it all that special. It's a little too rich for my skin, and I prefer something lighter weight. I also don't love the pot that the full size comes in, as it's a press top instead of a typical jar. I certainly wouldn't want to spend $64 on it. ... show more

  • Stings my eyes, not worth the price
I had high hopes for the Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm, but it made my eyes sting and burn almost immediately after application. I don't typically have sensitive skin, so this reaction was unexpected and disappointing. I rinsed it off and tried again with less product, but the irritation persisted. For the price, I expected a more comfortable experience and better value. This bundle didn’t work for me and I wouldn’t recommend it. ... show more

  • Hydrating and easy to use
I have tried other DE products in the past and have always been happy with them. I found this eye cream container to be really nice, you can dispense as little as you want and there's no mess. It's much more hygienic than tubs. The cream is white so you can see where you're applying it. It pats in easily and doesn't leave a residue. I have noticed more hydrated skin around my eyes and fewer noticeable fine lines. The face cream sampler is also nice, it's fairly thick but rubs in easily. I'm not as shiny throughout the day as with my regular moisturizer. ... show more

  • love this!!
i love this stuff and notice a huge difference when i use it. the eye balm is super moisturizing and helps with dryness around my eyes. it’s lightweight but really works to keep my skin soft and smooth. the deluxe sample of the lala retro whipped cream was a nice bonus and it feels amazing too. i like that these products are cruelty-free and dermatologist-tested because that makes me feel better about what i’m putting on my skin. definitely worth trying if you want something gentle but effective. ... show more

  • Hydrating eye and face creams
This skin care duo from Drunk Elephant really is a full sized container of the eye balm and a tiny sample size of the LaLa whipped face cream. The image on the product page is not quite to scale on the face cream. The eye balm has unique way to open it; twisting the cap makes the pump pop up. The eye balm is a light, unscented cream that spreads easily onto the skin, leaving it smooth and well hydrated. A tiny bit of the cream leaked into one of my eyes, causing some stinging that was relieved with a bit of dabbing with a cloth. I actually liked the whipped face cream a bit better than the eye cream. It has a light texture, ideal for daytime or for use under makeup, that absorbed into my skin quickly. Even small dots of the cream massaged in made my skin feel smooth and well moisturized with no tacky sensation. I’ll enjoy using both products, though I’ll be a bit more careful with placement of the eye cream. Frankly, I wish the whipped face cream was the full sized product. The duo are a bit expensive for what you get, so I’m not sure I’d reorder these once I finish them. ... show more

  • Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm Bundle
I had high hopes for this set but it unfortunately ended up stinging my eyes. The eye cream has good texture but it really hurt and I had to rinse my eyes out. The moisturizer is fine but it doesn't absorb well enough for me. I had to throw out the eye cream and the moisturizer I'm using on my hands instead. ... show more
