Honestly, I purchased these months ago and all of them but the black tipped ones snapped on me. I assume that is because I use that particular set with my xylophone. The other sets were cool while they lasted. I enjoyed the variety of sounds. If you are heavy handed this is not the set for you. I would say that they are more appropriate for a child that is learning how to play.
