Very impressive! About 5 years ago my son asked for a drone for Christmas and I spent a good amount of money buying an expensive drone that was marketed as easy to use for beginners but had the advanced features of other high end drones at the time. To say we were both disappointed is an understatement. It was very difficult to control and after only two tries the drone landed in some tree branches and didn’t survive the minor impact. This year I decided to buy an inexpensive drone just to give him another shot at a cool experience but I wasn’t really expecting much. My son and I were both blown away from the first time he took it out of the box. Everything was neatly and carefully packaged so it arrived in perfect condition. Everything you need to get started and continue to use all of the features of the drone are included (no need to buy extra equipment or chargers). It comes with a case so pieces don’t get misplaced and it’s protected in between uses (let’s face it we’re talking about a kid)). It was simple to get the drone flying and the controls are intuitive enough that we were able to use it successfully right away even though we had minimal to no experience with drones besides that first disappointing purchase years ago. I love the fact that it came with 2 batteries so one can be charging while the other is in use doubling the amount of time you can fly the drone. We let my younger son try out the drone and despite the fact that he had a few minor crashes there was no damage. It seems pretty durable but only time will tell. As mentioned in the description the camera quality is 1080p which is more than adequate for our needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this drone again. I’m actually thinking of buying one for my nephew for Christmas this year. I was expecting a “budget drone” but I received a nice drone at a great price.

The battery life is decent and the controls are very responsive. It’s perfect for beginners but also fun for more experienced users. “We bought this drone with my 11-year-old’s own Amazon money, and I expected a short honeymoon period followed by disappointment. Instead, this has been a genuinely impressive first drone. Here is my review of the drone. I will post this on Amazon in the review section as well. First Drone Experience—Perfect for Learning! (4/5 stars) I'm a complete beginner with drones, so I wasn't sure what to expect from the JY02. Right out of the box, I appreciated that everything came in a protective carrying case—a nice touch for storage and transport. Getting started was straightforward. The manual walked me through downloading the Redrie Fly app and connecting it to my smartphone for the live video feed. The 1080P camera quality is pretty good for what you'd expect at this price point—nothing fancy, but clear enough to enjoy the view while flying. Pros: Comes with two batteries giving you about 20-25 minutes total flight time The foldable design makes it easy to pack up The app interface is user-friendly Great price for learning the basics Things to know: This drone is super lightweight, which means even moderate wind will push it around quite a bit. I learned quickly to only fly on calm days. Definitely practice in a wide open space first—parking lots or fields work great while you're getting the hang of the controls Battery life per charge is fairly short, so those two batteries really are necessary Bottom line: If you're curious about drones but don't want to invest hundreds of dollars before knowing if you'll stick with the hobby, this is a solid choice.
