**Great Beginner Drone and Lots of Fun!** This drone is a great choice for beginners. It was easy to set up, and the one-key takeoff and landing made learning how to fly it much less stressful. The optical-flow positioning helps it hover steadily, and the different speed settings are useful as you become more comfortable with the controls. The 1080p camera produces good footage for a drone in this price range, and the live FPV view is a nice feature. I also enjoyed using the 3D flips, gesture controls, and waypoint flight mode. This is a great, affordable, simple drone for a beginner, younger kid, or someone who just wants to learn how to fly one without being nervous about an expensive piece of equipment. It's small and lightweight, and the folding design makes it really easy to carry around. The controls didn't take very long to get used to, and features like the one-button takeoff and landing make a big difference when you're first learning. The different speed settings are nice too because you can start slow and work your way up as you get more comfortable. The camera is fun to play around with and being able to see the live view on your phone definitely makes it feel like more than just a basic toy drone. Obviously, because it's so lightweight, I wouldn't expect it to take a bunch of hard crashes or handle much wind. That's really the only thing I'd keep in mind. I'd recommend starting somewhere open and taking it easy until you get the hang of the controls. Overall, I think it's an excellent starter drone for the money. You get a surprising amount to play with and it's a much easier way to learn and have some fun before deciding whether you want to spend hundreds of dollars on a more serious drone. ... show more

Probably better to try it outdoors vs indoors as they recommend for the first time. Lots of fun, impressive imo. However the battery lasts maybe only half of what they say it does. So between both batteries you might get 20 minutes. I didn’t time them but they are for sure not anywhere near 20 minutes each. Very durable, I have crashed it countless times and it still works. For $40 it’s awesome but keep in mind u need a ton of space. If it starts beeping bring that bad boy back otherwise it’s gonna land wherever it lands. First time outdoors I found myself on top of the roof on a drone rescue mission. Another time it landed in a cornfield and I got lucky and found it. Would be nice if they could include a beeping function to be able to find it. ... show more

Considering the price of the drone, it’s pretty good for learning or practice. The advertised bells and whistles are more marketing than accurate descriptions. The battery life is closer to 5 minutes rather than 20 minutes. The camera is less than a 1080p in quality and the feed is so choppy, you will not be able to navigate through the video feed safely.
