Updated FYI. One of the sensors kept sounding off. No matter what we did it alarmed day and night. It even alarmed sitting in a dark drawer. We took it apart and discovered water inside. We are drying it out and will test it to see if it is not damaged. The other three sensors are working fine. We bought these in April if 2024 and love them. These are the cutest little things. They were easy to set up. We set them up in the house and then placed them around our property. The little receiver lights up and the owl eyes flash as it sounds the alarms for whatever areas are being triggered. Our cats are fascinated with the flashing eyes. Blowing dust, birds in flight, and animals trigger the alarms. I thought the sounds would be annoying but to my surprise I love hearing the sounds. There are a lot of different sounds to choose from when setting the system up. They provide an added feeling of security on our property. They actually exceed the 50 foot range stated. This identifies all movement so it requires a clear field to operate effectively otherwise every movement of plants, branches, insects etc will additionally be set off a tone at the receiver. Yes! Highly effective! That being said its a little challenging to feel that a human wouldn't see it mounted on a tree or post. We live off grid and use solar. It works fantastic. No wifi needed thank goodness-because there is no infrastructure in this area just 15 minutes from a major town. Super ez set up. Insert batteries into sensors and situate where you want, plug in the receiver and choose your alarm tones * . There are several tones to choose from. Some are spoken such as *driveway, some are sounds like a bell, some are a series of tones. Offers a first level security alert that movement is taking place in the sensor field of "vision" area you have placed it in. We purchased it after someone gifted 8 bags of garbage to the protected nature area just 15 feet outside our gate. There are no additional subscription charges to use except batteries.     • Really Nice Alert System

I ordered this to warn me of persons who come up my driveway and approach my vehicles, especially at night as my neighborhood has had a few instances of residents cars getting broken into in the early morning hours. Since I was ordering I decided to order the pack that came with the 3 sensors so that besides the driveway I could put up a sensor to cover the access point to my sheds and the side of my house. Upon receiving it I immediately read the instructions and set up the units. I was amazed how easy it was to set them up for use. The 3 sensors came already electronically paired with the receiver so all I had to do was install the batteries and choose an alarm sound for each sensor. This was done simply by activating each sensor and pushing the "chime" button until I found a alert chime that I wanted to use for that sensor. Once an alert chime was locked in it was all set to go. I even checked the alarm chime setting by unplugging the receiver unit and then plugging it back in again to make sure my alert chime choices stayed programmed into the receiver....... I was pleased to discover the receiver did in fact keep my alarm chime choices even after being uplugged and then plugged in again. I then went outside and installed all 3 sensors units in their respective locations and I then tested them from every approach out to 50 feet. The sensors activated every single time and the receiver immediately chimed the alert sound I had chosen for each sensor. 2 of the sensors are within 100 feet of where I have the receiver but the 3rd sensor is placed way at the back of my property, about 175 feet, and all 3 sensors send a strong signal with each activation that immediately activates the receiver unit. I am really impressed with this system. The sensor units are small and dark colored (black), which I like because once installed they are difficult to see unless you know what to look for and exactly where to look. Each sensor comes with a nice mounting plate that screws onto the back of the sensor. The mount has a "socket ball" type attachment where it snaps securely into the base (that is attached to a tree, fence, etc) and this allows you to rotate the sensor up, down, side to side or to any angle you want it at. It works really well and keep the sensor securely aimed where you set it. The unit says that it's waterproof/resistant and while it does appear that it should be weather proof I had read one review where the consumer installed electrical tape over the seams just to be sure it would repel water..... this sounded like a good idea so I did the same thing and I am now very confident it will handle wet weather well. This system really is nice and really does work well. The other nice thing is that you can easily add more sensors in the future if you decide you need them. It also signals you when the batteries are getting low and needs to be replaced. Each sensor uses 3 AA batteries so they should last a long time if you use quality batteries. The only reason I only rated it 4 stars rather than 5 is simply because I need to see how it holds up and operates over time. After using the system for a while I will come back and update my review. But all in all I'm very happy with this system and how it functions. ... show more

I love this little driveway alarm!! The owls are cute and already synced to the home station, so all I had to do was plug in the tiny receiver, walk down to the fence post, screw in the mounting base, then pop the owl into the base and aim it. It took me about 5 minutes! The preset chime is nice to use because it doesn't freak out the cats or dogs, and it's easy to hear from other rooms. Highly recommend!! ... show more

You have to choose where detection is one for a front driveway one for our back driveway and yard and one for our garage. You choose the a different sound for each one so you know which one is being triggered. They have a barking dog, rooster crowing, or words. Many different choices. Gives me peace. We live in the country and I think I always hear something outside. These owls are quick to pick up any movement. The sound is not heard out side only in your home. ... show more
