  • We now own two!
My wife has a variant of Parkinson's, and had tried other walkers. This one works so well we now own two, one for the house, and one we keep in the back of the car so it is always with us when we go out. The fact that it folds to just 8 inches thick or so makes it easy to transport. The build quality is excellent, brakes work well, it is a great example of good engineering, as it is both sturdy and lightweight. This item is perfect for those with conditions that allow them to walk but who tire quickly, as this allows for a rapid conversion from walker to pushable wheelchair. ... show more

  • Great product
I bought this product for my mother, who is 92 and has dementia. It has delivered on all my expectations. Mom is only 4"11" and the low handle setting is the perfect height for her (as is the seat). She was very unsteady walking on her own but walks quite confidently with the rollator. An added bonus is that she can now walk erect, with her head up, vs. slumped with her head down. Since Mom has dementia, she has no idea how to use the brakes. However, I can walk beside her with my hand on the wheelchair handle to provide any assistance she might need in slowing down on ramps. The rollator is sturdy and handles outdoor terrain (sidewalks and some grassy/gravel areas) very well. I chose not to keep the storage basket on the unit (to keep things simple and light) but the seat very handy to carry anything we need (as we are using the unit as a rollator 100% of the time). The unit also folds easily and is easy to pick up and store as it only weighs 22 pounds. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is a bit unsteady or does not have the stamina to walk far on their own. ... show more

  • Serious Safety Risk - should be a recall
The media could not be loaded. Dangerous Design Flaws — Serious Safety Risk! This model has a major design flaw: each front wheel is supported by only a single frame arm. Because of this weak structure, the wheels swivel and tip even over small cracks or uneven pavement. (See video). The only way to move it safely is to pull it backward — pushing forward makes the front wheels buckle and tilt dangerously. If we hadn’t noticed in time and continued walking briskly while pushing our dad in wheelchair mode, he could have been thrown from the seat — an extremely dangerous situation. I also have a video when my dad was jerked forward and I had to turn around to pull him instead; but Amazon limits to only 1 video . For reference, our dad weighs only 160 lbs, so his weight is not enough to damage or distort the wheels. This is clearly a design defect, not user misuse. I reported the issue to the manufacturer over a week ago. Their representative offered to replace the distorted wheels, but I told her — why would I continue using a product with such a dangerous flaw? Replacing the wheels doesn’t fix the unsafe design. The company has shown no real concern and taken no corrective action. I will insist Amazon to take back the item and refund me in full. I strongly discourage anyone from buying this model until it’s recalled and properly redesigned for safety. ... show more

  • Wonderful design. Beats a walker beats a chair!
We haven’t used this much, but if you want a little foldable wheelchair, this seems perfect. My girlfriend has seizures, so having self controlled wheels isn’t really helpful. She loves how it feels on her back and her feet and will use it as a chair at the dog park. If she has a seizure, I can just scoot her away without having to carry her. Very nice design. I can throw it in my car. Purchased used like new and it appeared new to me. Still had plastic covers and stuff. The other model, the nitro sprint, is a little awkward. You have to remove the back rest to sit on it and be pushed. If you can’t quite afford this one, try the open box models. ... show more

  • Be careful when using as a Transport Chair, Uneven surfaces it is Dangerous
I got this Nitro Duet 2 weeks ago for my friend. He is around 190 - 200 pound and I am in very good health 170 pound strong guy. First of all I like the look, the wight and the size of this device. It is works fine on smooth surfaces as Walker or Transport Chair. But uneven surfaces or small cracks on streets it is not working, spatially as a Transport Chair. Some how it is manageable to use as a Walker, but Transport Chair impossible and Dangerous. Front 12" wills to narrow, any small obstacle makes this front wills to tern left or right and it is very hard to try keep them straight. Only way can go over that obstacle is back words. If you have 200 pound person on the chair, you need to be world class heavyweight champion to manage. I wish if they change that front wills, make it is wider or put double wills. • This is a great dual function wheelchair/walker
Bought this for someone with Parkinsons disease. Pros: Lightweight, east to fold and unfold, feet rests for wheelchair side. Back rest flips over for walker to wheel chair transition. Handles on the back extend so person pushing the wheelchair does not need to bend over. Cons. There are hand breaks on the handles for the walker, or pusher, but no way to lock those when stopped. This came into play when transitioning person from car to this device, on a bit of a slope. - Person using it loves it. Had about a week is all. This is a great combo unit. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
I've utilized my "Drive" for 1.5 months: 1. Easy to open, close, & load into my car (since it weighs just less than 30 lbs.) 2. The mesh carrying bag below its seat slides out & off, dangling, when I least expect it, because it has no fastener to keep it in place. Hopefully the maker will improve that in future. 3. The posted short film & images include a cup holder, but it is not included upon delivery (deceiving). 4. Other than those bullets, this is what I'd expected. 5. I take meticulous care of all my belongings, so the true test of this "Drive", is dependent upon the long time wear/tear (how it weathers). That's all for now. ... show more
