This is a well made system. The silicone tubing is very easy to work with and the fittings all went on easily. I bought this to keep our many plants watered during a two week vacation. The most important feature in deciding on this system was the adjustable outlets that allow you to provide each plant with different amounts of water. Unless you have identical pots with plants requiring the same amount of water I don’t see how a system with no adjustable outlets would work. The plan was to fill our fairly large and deep sink (see picture) to act as the water reservoir. The sink is 10” deep and the height of the tallest pot is 11” so the “lift” is a little under two feet. The little pump supplied with the kit was only capable of about 15” of lift. When I put the white bucket in the picture on the counter the system works perfectly but if I put the bucket in the sink, only the first two small pots get water. There is no easy solution to this problem. What I did was order a more powerful pump that, according to the description is capable of a 3’ water lift. I’m hoping the tubing will fit on the new pump. This solution added $14 to the cost of the system though so, not ideal. ... show more

I got this bc I had no one to water my plants while going on a three week vacation. I left with it as a sprout and came back to it almost 2 feet tall. I will say it is a little hard to understand and set up but just read the manual thoroughly and you should be fine! I don’t have to stress about watering my plants while I’m gone now. DO NOT plan on purchasing this product on Tuesday and taking off on vacation on Friday. This product does work well, however the settings and instructions are not the clearest. You will need to dial in the settings over a couple of weeks to make sure everything is working properly before you go. The main issue I found is the amount of water dispensed at a time. I set it up and started testing and it seemed like it was not providing near enough water. I adjusted the settings and ended up flooding my plants! Now I think I have it dialed in correctly. The hardest thing to adjust is the amount of water dispensed and trial and error will be required. Watering days is easy to set. Be prepared to be patient and test things well before you take off. You will also have to dial in the individual drip irrigation nozzles as to where they are in the watering process to make sure your first plant is receiving the same amount of water as the last plant in the line. For me I only have 6 plant in the setup so it wasn't too hard. The more nozzles you have connected, the more adjustments will need to be done. Also important is to have your water container BELOW the height of your nozzles. Otherwise you will have issues. Hope all this helps! ... show more

Initially I didn't like this product. However after correcting a issue with the water, it worked ok. Working through the instruction booklet was difficult due to the poor English. Be careful not to have the plants BELOW the water line as the pump will allow a siphon effect to keep dripping after shut down. Once I corrected this issue the pump did its job and when finished it shut off properly. I still have some trust issues with the remote since it doesn't say when its going to run, only that its going to happen X amount of Frequencies. Hope this helps ... show more

Have to supply a water source that is in some container is very limiting and inconvenient. tapping into a water source that is continual would be better. So consider whether you want to keep filling a water source.

This auto watering tool is a great concept and easy to use. I filled a large plastic bin with water and drilled a hole in the top to let the pump tubing through. This watered my plants for 3 weeks while I was out of town and kept them alive! Only downside is the display doesn't tell you when it has last run or the time until it next runs, so when you set it at a certain interval you just have to trust that it's going to work (or set a timer to you check it and know its working properly and going to run exactly 24hrs from the last run). ... show more
