The stand for drill bits is metal, very nice. All the bits accounted for, each in it's own wrapper. I tried the 1/2 inch bit using my battery powered drill at low speed on an old steel bed frame. I expected the drill to grab and twist my wrist but the bit cut easily and cleanly. Then I enlarged the hole to 11/16 and again was careful that the drill would grab but it cut cleanly without a problem. Normally I would use my corded 1/2", single-speed, high torque drill motor with two handles for drilling large hole but these bits did a great job with my 3/8 battery powered drill. ... show more

Worst set drill bits have bought had to sharpen some before using . Several twisted straight first time use. Several broke first time use. Would not recommend it ever buy again

    • Very poor quality
I was very surprised at these. Having approx. 40 yrs in metalworking experience the only place I've seen drill bits that look like these is from India or China. Overall finish rather rude and crude, grind job very coarse, lips ground at different angles resulting in the drills cutting with an eccentric motion and taking a chip only on one side, split points that do not meet evenly. If not for time constraints on a job in progress I'd return them..... Sad. ... show more

    • seems like a good product but waiting to get a bit replaced that was doubled
the bits seem good but the set came with 2 5/8" bits and was missing the 41/64" bit. they need to make this right. I sent a message through their contact web page but have not heard back yet.
