I bought these for my laundry room windows during the winter when I needed window coverings that I could easily open during the day, but close in the evening to keep the winter's cold from seeping into the room. These do a really good job of blocking some of the cold temperatures that can be there with window panes. They're easily opened in the morning and closed in the evenings. They don't block 100% of the light, but do darken the room when it's light outside. They also block being able to see into the house when they're closed. The large ringed openings at the top (for the rod) make it easy to open and close them when needed. The pattern and colors are pretty much true on the computer as IRL, so I was happy with that. These are fantastic curtains! They appear very true to color of what you see on the screen vs. real life. The tag said to wash in a laundry bag (I like to wash new fabrics), I did not want to buy big enough laundry bags to do that, so I took them to a laundromat and washed them in a front loading machine and dried them at home on cool. They came out beautifully and no wrinkles. Very well made and the design matches and carries through to each panel.
