The oranges I received must be missing something since most of the other reviewers (at present) have written about how good these taste. When I opened my package to photograph the smell was nice and very fragrant. One slice was broken into three pieces but the remaining nineteen slices were perfect. They were all fully dried. I ordered my orange slices for my wife to use in a Christmas craft. I never had any intention of eating them or tasting even one slice. But since one slice was broken my wife tasted the smallest broken off piece out of curiosity. She kept it in her mouth for several minutes but finally had to spit it out because the taste was so bitter. She didn’t chew or bite on the peel only the flesh part. So I don’t understand the reviews mentioning how good these slices tasted. Since I only ordered these for a craft project they will be very useful. I'm uncertain about how safe these are to consume since there was limited information on the label although there is a nutrition label. The barcode below the nutrition label is an Amazon tracking code not a UPC code that you can trace back to a company that you can check about. UPC codes are 12 numbers and no letters and this barcode has 5 numbers and 5 letters. Still for what I ordered it for it will work perfectly. As you can see in my photos my package has an expiration date of July 15, 2027.

Pretty for crafts with a gentle aroma but not a pleasant flavor. Tried them steeped as a tea flavoring and it was rather unpleasant. Really excellent for a fresh, bright decoration or craft item.

One of my favorite things to make to holiday presents is candied orange peel. I have always made those with fresh but its quite a time consuming process. So I tried it out with these and definitely is a good substitute. The candying process does soften/moisten them up quite well. I also tried adding to cocktails and that's certainly the better use. Taste is excellent and opening the bag they have a pleasant auroma. If you want to keep oranges around for drinks without constantly stocking something perishable this is perfect. It is certainly more expensive than fresh but for the right niche these oranges are a great value product.

These dried orange slices were a nice addition to the whiskey smoker kit I gave my husband for Father's Day. They added a subtle citrus aroma and flavor that paired really well with smoked whiskey and definitely elevated the overall experience. The slices were well dried and looked nice as a garnish too. My only complaint is the value. While the quality was good, the package contains only about 12 slices, which makes the price feel a little high for what you receive. If you're just looking to enhance an occasional cocktail, they'll do the job well, but if you entertain often or make smoked drinks regularly, you may find yourself going through the package pretty quickly.

These dried oranges are admittedly pretty to look at. However, they do not taste good. I tried them today when making green tea. I put a slice of orange in the container while the tea was brewing. Sadly, it did not lend a good flavor. Instead, it left a taste of bitterness and slightly unripe orange in my mouth. The taste reminded me of the fruit basket you find at hotel breakfast buffets: the one with Red Delicious apples that are more mealy than delicious, and the oranges that are more yellow than orange; the basket that is there for appearances rather than consumption. These oranges are exactly that - only for appearances. Even if I was just using them for a drink topper, I'd be worried that someone would try to eat one and be unpleasantly surprised. After making my tea with an orange slice, I threw it out and brewed a fresh batch....without the orange slice.

These dehydrated orange slices are surprisingly good! They smell amazing right out of the bag. They are fresh and citrusy. If you're craving something sweet and a little tart, they hit the spot. I’ve been snacking on them when I want something fruity but not too sugary. The ziplock bag is easy to open and seal closed. They’re also great for garnish cocktails and they make drinks look really nice. I also added a few to a cake for decorations. They are also great for infusing into drinks as well. You can even tie twines to them to make natural Christmas tree ornaments. They are not cheap but still cheaper than what my local store sells as cocktail decorations.

My only complaint is that they aren't all intact. Opening the oranges, they smell great, like oranges basically. I used them in a few old fashioneds and they worked well. I also used orange bitters, but they were nice for my drink and reusable a few times. I ate one and it tasted fine. It wasn't really weird to eat a dried fruit. They are a good size too. The price is comparable to what is at my local store. If you can pick up some locally or always keep fresh oranges on hand that's great, buy these keep so long, making the higher than a fresh orange price understandBle.
