I ordered this as a second battery for a Dremel I got for pet grooming, this works perfectly just like the one that came with my Dremel! The only downside is straight out of the package it did need to be charged right away but added benefit was that I already had a battery so it wasn't horrendous that it needed a charge. Both this one and my other one take a few hours+ to charge depending on how low the battery is, but they hold a fairly decent charge. ... show more

I have a mini mite dremel that I've had for a couple of years. It started to not hold a charge and then it completely stopped. I think it was my fault. I've since read that you shouldn't overcharge the battery or leave the battery on the device for extended periods. This new battery works perfectly. I only use the dremel once a week to groom my dogs nails. So I guess I only use it for about 15 min once a week. I only charge it, for about 3 hours, every two weeks or so. ( I haven't actually timed this to the minute) The rest of the time I leave the battery off the dremel. It has full power everytime. I did let a friend of mine use it for a craft project about a month ago. I was with him, and he used a saw attachment and the sanding bit. He could use it for about an hour straight before it started to lose power. Then we charged it for a couple of hours and used it again. I don't know if that's good or not but it works for what I need it for. I'm glad the battery works and I don't have to buy a new dremel. ... show more

    • Problem was with battery charger, not battery.
I have been using a Dremel 7300 PT to trim my dog's nails for several years. When the battery would no longer charge, I ordered this replacement, checking with Dremel that this was the correct battery replacement. When it arrived the battery would not charge, so I ordered the replacement. When that one did not charge either, I began to suspect the battery charger. I ordered a whole new Dremel 7300 PT. The battery that came with the Dremel charges fine as well as the one I had gotten earlier. The battery charger seems to be a bit different than the previous one so I'm not sure if the charger just died, or they changed the charger and battery configuration. But I can now safely trim my dog's nails again. She is a 75 pound American bulldog and has no problem having her nails trimmed. I did introduce it slowly to her when I first started using the Dremmel. ... show more

Two day delivery turned into 16 days. Came nearly empty on power. The best option is to disassemble the pack, and install higher capacity AA rechargeable batteries of the same 1.2volts. They will last much longer.

I have used the MiniMite for years and am very pleased overall. The last battery shipment (Aug '16) is where my first problem occurred. The battery would not hold a charge. Because my experience has been so good in the past, I let Amazon send a replacement instead of a refund. The replacement arrived yesterday and I have not tried charging it yet (I have two other batteries). I anticipate that this battery will be fine. Normally, I would give Amazon and this product 5 stars but due to this latest "glitch", I subtracted a star. Yeah, I'm a hard*ss. HAGD! ... show more

I got this battery replacement after 7 years of light dremel use, using it to file my medium dog's nails. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, my first order was a dud. It did not charge at all after several hours in the charger. I was beginning to think it was the tool itself or the charger that was broken. I contacted Amazon to send a replacement. I received it today, and immediately I noticed that the indicator light glowed a lot brighter during the charge with the replacement battery than the dud battery. After a couple hours, I was able to file all 4 of my dog's paws with no problems. Glad I gave it the second shot, but annoyed that it didn't work out the first time, and I still have to send back the dud. ... show more
