    • Befitting title. The game is Phenomenal!
This game could've easily been sold for double the price and I'd still considerate to be a discount. It's THAT GOOD and I'll tell you why. On the creator side, the developer tools are top-notch. If you can imagine it, you can digitally create it. Music, art, animation and of course GAMES...Of any genre. Now, don't get me wrong, it ain't easy, in fact, like almost every other creative endeavor one undertakes, its tedious ASF. The game helps you by giving you the tools needed but the rest is on you. The controls are also stress-inducing at the beginning (waay more challenging than learning to drive, LOl). It takes patience and perseverance but anyone can master it after a few imp quests. But wait, there's more! Everybody ain't creators, right? So if that mode isn't your thing you can purchase the game to get access to thousands of other user created content. And there's some amazing stuff out there. Finally, you have the feature, Art's Dream and it is FANTASTIC! Worth the price of the game alone. Beautiful story , great music, brilliant gameplay, multi-genre...It's a masterpiece and it was all done with the same resources that the title supplies. Its like these devs/geniusus/(aliens?) were demonstrating a Jedi Master technique to students of the craft. Oh, and did I mention the music? Man, don't miss this game. Actually it's way more than a game It's what Saturday night memories are made of. Its an experience. I don't write reviews. This is a chore for me. But yo, this product deserves it.     • Frustrating controls hinder the design process. Costs much more than advertised.
It's been awhile since I've been truly hyped for a game release. Dreams is the kind of game and concept that I've been waiting years to play. Unfortunately, the controls for moving an object are frustrating, most notably moving an object closer or farther away from you is next to impossible to do without getting angry. The controls are understandably complex but when it comes to certain controls, including moving the camera, it doesn't feel as intuitive as it should be for a game creation tool. I made it through a few of the early parts of the tutorial before finding out that in order to get the full experience you need to have the PlayStation move controllers ($100.00) for 3d character modeling (the feature I was most excited for) and also the PlayStation camera with mic ($40-$60 based on where you buy it from) for voiceover work. I understand the camera would be needed for voice but during the promotion of the game there should've been an emphasis on needing the move controllers for 3d modeling. I hope future updates are made with a focus on game controls because certain controls (not all) hinder what otherwise should be a fluid experience. Unfortunately and for me personally, this game is unplayable and in it's current state, unenjoyable as you try your best to progress though each tutorial. I was looking forward to creating but instead was left with one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in a long time. As an illustrator I was looking forward to creating something that others could enjoy. Instead I was left with a similar state of anger that I used to get from literally anything made by Adobe. For those of you who are interested in playing Dreams, it will cost $180-$200... ($40 for game, $100 for move controllers involving 3d character modeling, and $40-$60 for the camera) to have the full experience, with a VERY open window to getting frustrated and not wanting to continue playing.     • A short dream and not Dreams
My kids were raving about getting this game. Once I saw the price dropped, I immediately placed the order. Once the game arrived, my kids played it for a day or two. They could not get it to work as multiplayer. There was a way to set up multiplayer but they eventually gave up. Therefore, these “Dreams” were just a dream. ... show more

I originally bought this as I had seen videos on line of people playing games created using Dreams and wanted to get it for my nieces. So far they've loved it and are having a blast playing different games on 1 CD. I haven't used the 'create your own' function too much yet, but it looks very promising. The pricing is amazing, it's worth it just to play and look at other peoples creations; I'd highly recommend. WARNING: All creations are not age rated, so I highly recommend an adult previews other people's creations before allowing children to see them. ... show more

I like the game but it USPS said it had problems and canceled shipping before having it in my mailbox the next day. When I opened I noticed the disc wasn't clicked in the tray so it was freely moving around through shipping and got a few scratches. It installed fine though. Giving it 4 stars because I don't want to make the game itself look bad. ... show more

    • A game for you imagination
This is an absolute marvel of a game and creation tool. Everything feels pretty intuitive. I gotta give it to Media Molecule for creating something this unique and well put together. Overall navigation is easy and the main interface is clean. I'd say, give it a try, because you won't be disappointed. Even if don't like creating stuff, there are tons of other user creations you can try and/or explore (play, view); all unique and interesting in their own way. A never-ending expanding library of user creations (aka dreams). The community support is there and I can see it growing (and growing) in the immediate future. This is a gaming experience you don't want to miss. 5/5 ... show more
