We purchased this for my niece's 8th birthday party. She loves it! The ears and unicorn horn are difficult to shape them up but she does not seem to mind. The kids played dress up and had fun. The colors are not that pigmented to cause a stain on the skin. I appreciate that since most little kid makeup will do that.

My 5 year-old niece is ALWAYS getting into my expensive makeup and damaging or ruining stuff that's too expensive to replace. So I got this set for her, thinking it would keep her out of my stuff. Which it did. But, it also makes a huge mess and she needs to soak in the tub after she puts any of her unicorn makeup on. It's all very colorful, perfect for a child of her age. But it's also very heavily pigmented and difficult to get off skin and out of fabric, so keep that in mind. It's a "toy" that has to kept out of her reach so that she can be monitored when using, due to how messy it can be, and how it will stain furniture, clothes, etc. She loves the set though. It has eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses, compacts, little application brushes mirrors, and comes with cute plastic rings, bracelets, necklace, and clip-on earrings, all of which she loves. All contained within the really cute unicorn tote box. All the makeup is non-toxic, and it's all unicorn-themed. It's a great set for the price, just be weary of the mess/stain factor.
