They offer two sizes, I went for the smaller, regrettably. The problem is that unless your puck comes out perfectly and is not wet, it is a mess. Coffee grounds end up all over because of the small capture size. Don’t get me wrong I think it is a nice little knock box, just not very practical. I’m now ordering the larger version.

This is a very high quality knock box. But be mindful of the size. It's much smaller than you might think. I was a bit surprised at how small it was when I received it. Here are some pros and cons for your consideration before purchasing. Pros: -Nicest looking knockbox I've seen available. It's very cute. -Very high quality materials. -Rubber foot for grip. Stands very firm on the counter -Rubber coated knock bar works well to dampen the sound -Knock very firmly secured to the knockbox with the rubber sheath around it. Does not rattle. -Small, space-saving footprint. Cons: -Small. It fills up quickly. With a 58mm puck you can probably get 2-3 pucks in before the pucks start to overflow above the knock bar. Pick it up and give it a little shake and they all settle in for some more room for more pucks. It would have been nice if it were an inch taller, which would have allowed twice the number of pucks before having to empty it. Just know that you'll have to empty it more frequently. I empty and rinse it after every session, so this really isn't a problem for me. -The knock bar is a bit wider than optimal for a knockbox of this size. For small portafilters like my 49mm filter basket from my Olympia Cremina, the pucks come out whole. With larger portafilters most likely you'll be breaking the puck apart as you knock since there's only an inch or so on both sides of the knock bar. -The knock bar can not be removed. I've tried but it's on tight. Not sure if this is really a problem but I know many knock boxes have removable knock bars. Because of this you can't really reach in to clean with a towel unless you have long fingers and feed the towel through the knockbox and clean with your fingers. The best way to clean is to simpy rinse it under the sink.. It's certainly small enough to do so. If you have dried on grinds that won't wash out, you'll have to use a little scrub brush. A removable knock bar would make it much easier to clean, but honestly just rinsing after each session cleans it completely. It's not that big of a deal. -Rubber on the knock bar will accumulate dents. It's not that big of a deal but be aware very minor dentations will appear on the rubber over time.

This "knock box" works well when clearing filter grinds. Has a strong rubberized bar that crosses over the collecter bucket. The bucket has a raised curb on the back side and lower as you move to the front. A unexpected plus is how the knock box sits on my espresso machine when not in use and seems like part of the machine as it covers the drip tray and filter hub. Great design and completely functional.

Very cute and love that it fits under the portfilter for counter space. Material is sturdy. I wish it came in other colors but the gray is nice neutral and looks good with everything. 4 stars because the ports filter spatters when you knock - the sides need to be a wee bit higher I think or it needs to be a wee bit wider. Overall a great find and great buy though - just knock in an area that you don’t mind cleaning up!
