I don't give 5 star reviews. Buy these. Professional dog groomer/business owner. I also do a lot of other things which require tools and I know quality vs. crap. I have issues with many things in the grooming/pet indusdtry and one of is the price of tools/equipment/supplies. Some is fair, most is ridiculously overpriced at a "wholesale" level. But I digress... I've only ever used pro-quality shears. I won't give brand names here but these are equal quality to a major brand (of same material: steel) and *better than* another. I don't know how shears for human hair compare to grooming shears other than the guy who sharpens mine told me he does human ones much sharper. These arrived sharp enough for my work *but* they needed to be oiled first. If you don't oil your tools (google it) they don't perform 100%. I wrote the same review for a pair of straights, different seller. I chose the shortest chunker because; The wider the tooth gaps, the weaker the metal will be. That's unavoidable so don't go blaming the tool if you get a 9" chunker and it's out of alignment in 5 minutes. Physics, man. ... show more

These are excellent quality, heavy and tough thinning shears. It says in the description "no more haircuts!" Well, that's really not too far from the truth. I've been using these for years to cut my own hair - the length and way I like it. It's really hard to mess up a haircut when using these, but I'm sure one could with enough effort. ... show more

These are great quality and I purchased to use on the ends of my hair because I could not seem to get my hair stylist "shatter" my ends for me. They are very sharp and do the trick quickly and easily. Love them!

    • Very sharp and be careful how far you go through each section of hair
These thinners are Fabulous! I have thick hair cut really short and needed something to thin my bangs and other spots that were really thick. I actually used the shears as scissors and got an even line with a wispy look which is exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend.
