I actually bought two of these to use for kittens from our rescue that are being bottle fed. These bassinets are way sturdier than I expected for the price. I would be very confident putting a baby in them. The only challenge was pushing down the locks to hold it unfolded but my husband did the ones that were too stiff for me. They fold up small enough to easily fit under a bed so storage won’t be a problem. My adult cats give two paws up for the storage hammocks underneath which hold their ten pounds easily. Puts together easily by one person in less than 10 minutes. Looks nice and appears safe. The mattress is thin therefore not sure how comfortable this will be. The height is not adjustable and is not the same height as my bed. (hence the 4 star rating). The canopy is not removable or flush to bassinet. It does have built in straps with snaps on the ends to keep the canopy flush. When the canopy is up, it functions as it should and has a nice, tight fit.
