I was wary to buy this as some people had gaps around the mattress, which is obviously not safe. I tried it out for my parents house so my 9 month old would have somewhere a bit more comfortable to sleep. It fits perfectly on all sides, no gaps. I got a fitted sheet for it and he slept great, but like he does at home. I am very happy with the quality. If you are looking to give your child a better napping option than the hard mat that comes in these, this is worth every penny. Bought this to put in my sons Graco pack ‘n play, thinking that it would be softer than the base provided by the manufacturer. It’s not, it’s hard and stiff. As other reviewers have pointed out, these mattresses are not recommended by the manufacturer because of the risk of suffocation. First night I used it, my son rolled over in the night and got his arm stuck between the mattress and the mesh siding of the pack ‘n play. He does not yet have the strength to push him self up and pull him arm out so he cried out. Thankfully he sleeps right next to my bed so I was able to free him quickly but it scared me enough to realize that this is truly not safe, at least at his age. ... show more

I was a little worried how the fit would be but this mattress fit my Graco Pack N Play perfectly! It is firm enough to be safe but softer/more comfortable than the bottom piece of the pack n play. And a fitted pack and play quilted mattress cover fit onto this mattress very well too. Be sure to buy a fitted mattress cover to go with it. ... show more

Perfect little Mattress! Almost didn't buy because of reviews. I wanted a soft and comfortable replacement for the hard board that came with my Pack and Play and this is great and the 3" thick mattress fits like a glove. I added a quilted mattress pad and sheet and wouldn't want it any softer for a child of playard age due to suffication risks. I believe it is perfectly safe with no gaps, sure when you press against the playard side the netting will give but not enough room for a baby to be trapped so maybe the 3" night is better. My son won’t sleep in his crib, he only sleeps in his pack n play so we got this mattress to make it more comfortable. I’m so glad I did because my 1 year old learned to take his diaper off AND the sheet on it and smear his poop all over. This was very easy to clean and seems comfy. We ordered this for our 6 mo old granddaughter, so safety was a major concern. There are no gaps and it fits snuggly in place. This is perfect for our pack and play. We have second child syndrome. Were the second one doesn’t get the fancy they get the what works best and is the most functional. So this is great for long term use of the pack and play. We love having the attached changing area, and don’t want to rearrange a shared kiddo room just yet to fit the larger crib. We don’t like our baby sleeping long term on the pack and play normal bottom. So we want to get more use out of the crib so this is a perfect solution for us! Just squeezing the mattress it seems to have two sides. One little softer; one a little firmer. It’s also waterproof!! Which is great for middle of the night accidents 😳 ... show more

I was excited when I purchased this based on some of the good reviews I read. I was looking forward to a good night sleep for my 7 month old. I opened up the box and just form pulling out the mattress i was already frowning. It felt a lot harder than I expected. But I thought maybe it was just in my head. I took off the plastic seal and starting pressing and squeezing but it still felt hard maybe even harder than the existing thin original pad that came with the playyard. I could t believe it so I took it into the room to compare. Yes! It was without a doubt harder/firmer. I decided to give it a try with my baby anyway and was really hoping that it would make even a little difference. And it certainly did, but for the worst. My baby barely slept on that thing. I kept it for a week to give it a fair shot. Maybe she was having a bad night outside of the mattress. Maybe she was teething/growing who knows?? It’s night one so far.
