  • Great tablet for young kids
I bought this tablet so my pre-k kiddo can access some educational games and videos. This tablet has full access to the Google app store, and works well with the Google Family parental controls. We had a low-end Kindle Fire before, and I was disappointed that it couldn't access the Google app store. It also comes with the Kidoz parental control app; that app seems to work well though I'm not a huge fan. The battery lasts several hours game and video watching. It comes with a dedicated charging port (not micro usb) which is nice as it is easier for my kids to plug in. It does have a micro usb as well, if you want to use that charging cable that you have laying around for your phone. The bumper cover that came with it has saved it already from several drops, but A+ for that. I wish it covered the micro-sd card slot, as my kids occasionally get curious and pull out the memory card (doh!). The screen has good color and works well for the purpose I intended (kid's apps/games). It's definitely not a top end screen, but I wouldn't expect it for the price. The camera is pretty lousy so if you're looking for a device for the the kids to take pictures on, this probably isn't it. Overall a solid buy for young kids (maybe 4-10). ... show more

  • Great tablet for all ages, long battery life for learning games and movies, durable, and great sound
Loved the tablet and case. The set up was simple and allowed for Parental controls. My toddler was able to use not only the games that it came with for learning, but also other apps and TV shows that helped her Learn. The tablet is portable and durable for a toddler to use, We use the tablet for trips, at home, and was able to connect to Wi-Fi wherever we were at and even use my hotspot on my phone. If there was no Wi-Fi we were able to download games that worked while no WiFi was available. The learning games that came on the tablet really helped her and we notice a difference in her academics and advancement already. Several apps we downloaded have taught her to paint by number, recognize words, colors, numbers and complete alphabet. Even though some parents may not love the idea of a toddler having technology, the parental controls allowed us Do you have her use learning games. The screen and battery life last a long time, the touchscreen was easy for her to use and durable. Her being a toddler she is not careful dropped it several times and it was still in good Condition with no issues. We recommend this tablet for even older children, my six and eight-year-old use it as well for Netflix learning games and hooked on phonics. Screen quality for movies is great battery life lasted long enough for them to watch plenty of movies and they were able to navigate the touchscreen perfectly. ... show more

  • Great little tablet
This is actually my second tablet -- I returned the first one because after a few charging sessions, it overheated and then would no longer charge or turn on. I will say to just be sure you're using the correct charger that came with the device for charging, or else you may have issues! However, the company was very quick to respond and immediately replaced my device once I mailed it back. I was very pleased with the customer service and the warranty that is included (be sure to activate this as soon as you receive the product!). My only major complaint about the product is the sound volume -- it is VERY low even at maximum. I was able to find a 3rd party app that helped with this issue and increased the volume a bit though, so it's not a huge issue. But if this wasn't an issue I would rate the tablet with 5 stars. The case that comes with the tablet is very durable, although the little kickstand is a bit flimsy. I do not use the pre-installed Kidoz app, but it does have some cool stuff included with it if you like that. We mainly use it for watching Youtube or movies, as well as a few kids games. I like that it has a more powerful processor (2 gigs) than the Kindle Fire, so it doesn't seem sluggish or anything and responds well to touch. Overall, this tablet is for my 3 year old son and he loves using it, so it's definitely worth the money IMO. ... show more

  • Excellent Tool for Exploring Technology!
I bought two of these for my grand children, who were out of school for the semester and doing e-learning activities. I also looked at Amazon tablets. These tablets are an amazing value and your child can use them all throughout their childhood/teen years if they wanted to. These are not toys--they are full fledged Android tablets. Parents, you might have a little learning curve setting them up, but once you get the hang of it, your kids will love them! One of my grandkids, who is 4, downloads new games and activities every day by himself from out of state since he returned home. I am set up as his parental figure so I can see everything he does and alter permissions if needed. To do that, you need a parental Google account and then a child Google account. You then have to link the child account to your parental account as a 'family member'. Give your parental account the ability to reset passwords of course. If you do not want to constantly enter your password on this tablet, which has a tiny touch keyboard, and you've set permissions accordingly from your parent account--allow the child to download games or activities without you entering your password each time. The tablet does come with a built in set of games, shows, etc. You need to read the instructions to ensure that you know how to pull that up and get it ready for your child before they use the tablet for the first time. Once you have it set up with content displaying on the desktop of the device, the child can easily figure out how to take it from there! Kids are very tech savvy when it comes to exploring content and technology! The google accounts allow them to access school work if your school system gives them lessons through Google. However, the keyboard is not the same as a computer or laptop keyboard, so you will need to see if your child can type on it efficiently. These are a great value for the price and I can't recommend them highly enough! ... show more
