These boots are so gorgeous! I get compliments everywhere I’ve worn them so far. They are really comfortable & didn’t need to be broken in. It’s so wonderful Doc Marten decided to make vegan boots because I can wear these with a clear conscience.

The listing shows these as matte/flat black. If you look at the listing pictures, they’re matte soft pebbled leather, like the Devon Flower boot. Although they come high-gloss, like rainboot material. Oxford vegan leather. There are actually two listings for this “Sinclair Milled Nappa” boot here on Amazon and the other one’s come in the matte material per the review photos, so if you want that matte finish, find the other listing. ALL OF THAT ASIDE, I love these boots. I ordered from this listing in hopes of receiving the Oxford version of this boot and I got them. They're not on the website in this material either. The zipper piece is removable, and these are much lighter than other styles I’ve tried because they have far less material in the walls of the boot. The soles are obviously still very heavy but that’s docs. Couldn’t be more happy with my purchase, definitely a cool pair to catch on sale. ... show more

I listened to the reviews saying to size down. For reference I am a size 8.5 and I purchased the 8. IT WAS WAY TOO SMALL. It hurt my feet UNBEARABLY just sitting down with them on. So I am returning and getting a 9. The shoes themselves are gorgeous, they had no scuffs or marks. Came packed properly, in two boxes with a Dr. Martins shoe box with Dr. Martins tissue paper. No signs of wear. Was worried the zip insert would be difficult to adjust, but it is a very simple construction with high efficiency (if they don't, Dr. Martins -should- sell the zipper deal-y separately as well, it was one of my selling points). Lots of shoelace to spare. Not worried about maneuvering with the two inch heel either. It's not far from my one inch platforms. I read that to maintain the shoe simply wipe it with a wipe. Was worried I wouldn't appreciate the shininess of the shoe, but it is much appreciated. Gives it a PVC type of look. Yay for sturdy shiny vegan gear! ... show more

I've been using Dr. Martens for years now and these ine are the more heavy ones I have had. I use it, and look really good with any of my outfits, but you have to get used to them. I bought a 6, is good but half point more wouldn't be bad . I'm usually 7 in other shoes, but Martens gets loose with a 7 ... show more

I have had Dr. Martens boots before and have never had this problem. I have been wearing them for less than three months and already the inside heel lining is peeling off which makes them almost impossible to wear because of pain/bleeding. Both boots have this problem. Again, I have owned many pairs of Dr. Martens and I have worn them to the last bits and pieces, and they never disintegrated in this way and this fast. It is extremely disappointing considering the price of these boots, the quality does not seem to match up with boots that I have acquired directly at the Dr. Martens official stores.
