Finally got my first pair of Docs, when I'm at the age my mother was when I originally wanted them, haha. Anyway, got the black embroidery and love love love! I'm an 8 typically, but can take an 8.5 in running shoe and 7.5 in dress shoes, depending. I don't have wide feet, and I have high arches. I ordered a size 8 in these, and they're a bit roomy. Not enough to order the next size down (they don't come in half sizes, anyway) but there's room in the toe box. I just wear thicker socks, but just a heads up. If you're an 8.5 you could probably wear an 8 in these.

I love feeling sexy in my own skin, but I'm also a lil Tomboyish. These boots definitely describes my personality. They are sturdy, and will go well with a pair of jeans and over size mans shirt. But tthe leather is soft and feels dainty and sexy. I'll be wearing them to a work costume contest with a TuTu. And the roses cascading down the side gives them a feminine touch. I wear a size 6 1/2 but I purchased a size 6. Perfect fit! Didn't need to break them in. They are exactly what I wanted. Tomboyish but Sexy! Definitely recommend these to anyone that looking for a really good pair of work/play boots.

I love how they fit right out of the box! No breaking in. I’m just so Surprised at how comfortable these are. I thought the high top would be a problem, but no. And the footbed is comfy and perfect!!👍🏼

These boots look really nice but as others have said are a devil to break in. I normally wear women's size 9 (or men's 7), and I have somewhat narrow but otherwise normal feet. I owned a knee-hieght pair of lace-up doc martens as a teen so I have some basis for comparison as well. These boots are taking much longer to break in. The tongue attachment point is ridiculously tight. I've had to limit wear and protect the top of my feet with bandaids and gauze to prevent painful rubbing. I have also found it easier to get more wear time by shoving a tennis ball in the boot, at the tongue-joint point, oin order to stretch out the boots while I am not wearing them. It's almost been a month and I'm still easing into these. I think it might be a fine purchase if you already have or can easily afford to buy a boot stretcher. But, if you have limited funds, then it will take a lot of patience to find these acceptable for the price. The leather also crinkles quite easily. Despite my limited wear, mine already shows signs of much greater use. However, all that said, the boots are loosening up and I do like the look of them so I have decided to keep them, despite the flaws.

I'm a fan of Dr. Martens but these boots run a little narrow. I had to get a shoe stretcher to stretch them out for a couple of days until they fit comfortably. Another thing I noticed is that they squeak when I walk, which can be a little annoying. Other than that, they're great, they look great, and they're comfortable.
