  • LOVE THE COLOR
Size: 7 Color: Blueprint
These are a bit more "intense" and bold of a blue color than the pictures show. True Royal Blue. Not Navy like the picture. but, very pretty and comfortable. Only issue I have is they squeek when you walk. Hoping that will stop when they get more broken in. They are a Very shiny patent leather, look almost plastic they are so shiny and polished. ... show more

  • Very uncomfortable and very shiny
Size: 7 Color: Blueprint
The media could not be loaded. I've been wanting a pair of blue boots for a long time and haven't come across any in stores (at least not in a style I want). I was hesitant to order these because I could tell from the images they're very shiny, which is not usually my preference for boots. They do look as shiny (perhaps even more so) in person, in case you're wondering -- to me, they look like rain boots and not so much like badass Dr. Martens. I would still consider keeping them except that the material is horribly uncomfortable. Size-wise they fit as expected, but that's the only positive thing I have to say. I'm not sure how some people like these. I guess this is a type of leather, but it doesn't feel or look like leather at all. The tongues of the boots naturally press inward strongly against your leg (see my video of the tongue whipping inwards after being pulled out), and they are very stiff. It's downright painful to walk with the top of the boots and the tongue rubbing aggressively against my legs, and these boots are so stiff the material kind of bends/creases inward sharply in various places and can jab the wearer. If I were to wear these and walk around, tall socks would be mandatory to protect from the bad rubbing or pressing in at the top. Doesn't matter how I adjust the lacing. They are impossible to be comfortable in. And I don't really consider tall socks an option stylistically with these, so they're unwearable for me. I guess if you wanted to wear them over leggings, they MIGHT be okay, but many leggings tend to be thin. I think only thick socks or pants would really help. But these would be hard to fit around most pant legs, I think. They do not have much give or flexibility. I've had many, many boots over the years, and I've never had a pair this uncomfortable. I'm returning these and hopefully will find a good pair of blue boots someday . . . It's a shame. I have another pair of Dr. Martens boots that have lasted for years, and they're quite comfortable and good quality. I wasn't expecting these to suck so much. They also don't look very good in person IMO. I think they look better in my photos than they looked to me in person. If Dr. Martens made a pair of boots in this shade of blue in a regular boot leather that isn't ultra-uncomfortable and that was also less shiny, I would definitely be down for that. The only other pair of "blue" boots I've found from Dr. Martens are the color called "navy" but they look like black boots, and there's no point in me buying another pair of black boots when I have so many. I don't recommend these. ... show more
