Very attractive leather and a nice shoe all around. The size 11 UK fits me just a tad big (11.5-12 US for boots is my usual), but they are completely wearable and still pretty comfortable. I am definitely in between sizes for this particular DM. I have another DM (8053 Oxford) in size 11 UK that fits me perfectly. This seems like a "simple", no-nonsense boot to me. There's just a decent cut of leather and no real extra support or insulation (although the iconic DM rubber soles are grippy and reasonably cushiony). I'm not sure they would be tough, thick, or supportive enough for a heavy-labor work boot. Compared to my Thorogood boots, these are slightly less supportive and not as comfortable. The Thorogood leather is thicker, more supple, and higher quality, but these DMs are still quite nice. Stitching and construction seems excellent. I would say these lean toward stylish, dressy-casual boots rather than "purposeful" or task-specific boots, but they deserve a little more praise than that. They are good all-purpose boots. I would definitely recommend these highly. If I didn't wear these interchangeably with my Thorogoods, I wouldn't know what I was missing, and would probably give a 5 star review. Of course the Thorogoods are $60-100 more. These DMs are definitely worth what they sell for.

Just received my Dr. Martens 1460’s. I was careful and reasearched Dr. Martens and how to spot counterfeits before ordering. I bought mine from OutdoorEquipted through Prime and fulfilled by Amazon. They arrived on time and in great shape. The arrived in Dr. Martens box, wrapped in Dr. Martens paper. Boots are absolutely beautiful. Boots have all the required labels, inspection stickers and proper embossed soles. Sole are the correct color. The yellow stitching is straight and flawless. These are true to size. I wear a US size 9 and ordered a US9/UK 42. The leather is very soft and smooth to the touch but very stiff. They also fit great. I wore them all day without issue, but they will take a good deal of time to break in. I also bought the Dr. Martens “Wonder Balsam” and have applied it to the boots. I recommend doing this as it softens the leather and helps with breaking them in. I will update how they wear after break in. I am truly overjoyed so far with this purchase.

It's never going to feel like the original docs and as an ol punk rocker I'm an anecdotal expert but man oh man it does come close the main thing I'd say is the fit old docs were like converse you had to get a size smaller, not these get the size you are and you'll be happy. Peace. Oh and and Jeff maybe start paying your fair share in taxes# eat the rich. ;)

Someone wrote a review for these boots and said that they’re fake. That is not true. I’m not a Dr. Martens connoisseur, but my sister is. She’s been buying these for over 15 years. Docs have a series of boots that have a lighter and thinner leather. These are from that series. So no, they are not fake simply because they leather is thinner than most other Docs. With that being said, these are pretty comfy. They don’t require the normal amount of breaking-in time that other Docs require. I usually wear a 9-9.5 in women’s shoes, so I got the UK 7/US 9 size, and they fit great. I couldn’t have gone any larger or any smaller. Give these a try!

It felt very stiff as I walked. It was more me lifting my legs up and down because I couldn't bend my shoe. I don't if that's how they all are buts this is how my pair was. Also the front gets tight in the front. I thought they run large so I ordered a size down 7 us men, 6 uk. Just found out it was 39 eu when it arrive. I can't wear it comfortably bc im 40 eu. Im gonna go a size up and see what happens then.

First off, with boots, usually you should size down. Especially when goodyear welted. They only offer whole sizes though. Regardless I took the chance and sized down, because I didn't want to have a huge boot. They ended up being too small, but I tried to wear them anyway since I had already paid for them. The air sole they advertise is hard and I found no comfort in them at all. I will say, they are made well and should last you a couple years unless you wear them hard every day. But there are much better options out there. Even different types of Dr. Martens are more comfortable than these. But overall unless you just want these for the name, I would suggest doing the research on other brands like wolverine, red wing, or chippewa.

I expected these boots to be more hardy. The material is thin and flexible. I would not say that they are as well made as my other boots, like Timbaland boots. The sparkled pebbles are gorgeous, and I honestly bought them because of that. They are a stunning looking boot. But not durable or made of leather. I expected leather boots- these are not it. If you're looking for a fun pair of boots and you don't care about them lasting forever, these are for you.
