I wasn’t sure about this product and even wanted to return it but I kept coming back to it and decided to keep it. The moment I knew it was working was when I put it on to prep my lips then a while later blotted it off to put on my lip liner. That’s when I saw that the area I was lining seemed a bit fuller. Now I love the stuff. Kind of pricey if you ask me, but what price are you willing to pay without getting a needle stuck in your lips. At the very least a decent alternative till you can save up the money to get your lips done.

Felt fine the first couple of times I used it….but NO “plumping” whatsoever. Seemed to moisturize somewhat. Subsequent use actually dried my lips out. I’m throwing away this outrageously priced & falsely promoted product. Total waste of money.

I feel like I have tried just about every lip product and plumper out there. This one sounded promising to me so I was very eager to give it a try. I have incredibly sensitive skin so I am always cautious when trying something new and I was happy to learn according to the skin safe website, that this is 91% clear of common allergens including gluten and soy. I am the type who will always get a rash if something is the least bit irritating and thankfully, this lip plumper causes me zero irritation. I am being extra careful to stay inside the lip line as the product suggests, but I always end up getting a little above my lip where I am most sensitive and again, it hasn't caused a problem for me at all. The first picture is of my lips first thing in the morning after wearing my current favorite collagen lip balm by biba de sousa overnight so my lips are well hydrated, but they haven't been touched for a good eight hours. The second photo with the glossy lips is about 10 minutes after applying the Dr. Dennis Gross lip plumper. Side by side, I guess my lips do look a touch fuller...glossy and hydrated. It did tingle on first application, but now that I am using this fairly regularly, I am not noticing too much of a tingle...I guess I am just used to the product now. I am someone who has always always worn at least a lipstick and/or colored lipgloss, really never go out without it, but I find I have been pretty content to just wear this product alone. I feel like it adds just a tinge of rosiness to my lips and now that I am getting a little older, I am thinking the natural look might be softer and a better way to go. This lasts me a couple of hours before feeling like I need to reapply, but of course that varies in conjunction with mealtime and what have you. I was torn between rating this four or five stars because I really do like it and plan to finish the entire tube. By then, I will know for sure if this will be a repurchase item for me. If I feel like it's really actually improving the look and condition of my lips by regular use and not just a gimmicky, temporary illusion, then I will want to continue using it. For now, I would say it's about four and a half stars and if I end up reordering because I determine that it is that good, I will update this review and upgrade the rating. Oh and one last thing, don't try to apply this while driving...I made the mistake of reaching for it and trying to do a quick touchup and made an absolute mess, it oozed all over the place because I was only using one hand...very cool applicator that I hadn't seen before and love, but you do need to focus when applying!

Some may call it a placebo, but I truly think it works. I quickly saw a noticeable definition in the lining of my lips and lip color. It almost looked like I had put a pink tinted lip gloss on, but it was just the color of my lips became much more vibrant after applying. It does not last all day, so you will find yourself needing to reapply, but that’s to be expected. You only need a little bit when applying, so it’s not like you will go through the whole bottle quickly. Also — it does cause a tingling sensation, but does not last long. Overall, I can definitely say this has become a necessity it my routine!

I was hopeful that this product would plump lips as advertised. Sadly after two weeks of using daily it did nothing. I will not purchase again.

I did the 1/2 on my lips test. It really makes your lips bigger. This is the only lip plumper I have tried that passed this test! I will be buying another as a gift.
