This is the best soap I've ever used. I first tried it in the 1970s and no other comes close to feeling clean and fresh in the shower, I prefer peppermint, but the almond and other varieties also do a great job. It’s very sudsy in the Florida hard water. It has a fragrance of peppermint and has menthol in it, which makes you very cool and tingly all over have been giving this out for gifts and everyone loves it.

This soap is definitely a clean natural soap that is very versatile and good for your personal health and the health of your household. It works well, lathers up nicely and does the job. I use it as a shower soap, hand soap and household cleaner diluted according to manufacturer’s guidelines. I use it daily and will continue to use it, but wanted to mention a couple of things you might want to know about the soap. It is not as thick as other soaps and it behaves differently in soap dispensers. It squirts out watery and can go in unintended directions especially when a dry nugget forms at the spout. You pretty much can’t use it in powder rooms where your guests who are unaware of this might squirt it all over the place and themselves. Secondly, the peppermint scented soap does stain my porcelain tiles in the shower white, so you have to keep an eye on that and clean it regularly before it becomes an issue. I also believe that it discolored some of my colored laundry when I used it in the washing machine. Just a couple of caveats on this otherwise very good soap. ... show more

Love Dr Bronner’s Castle soap. Been using it for several years and always feel clean and refreshed. I love that I don’t feel like there is residue on my skin. My favorite is the peppermint (especially in the summertime)
