Lots of people thought the scythe was too flimsy, but at this price point, I don't know what they expected. My son is thrilled with it and knows that he can't actually start swinging it around or it will probably pop apart. The costume fits well and it hangs well. The battery pack sits snugly into its little pouch inside the suit, and the eyes have a nice slow blink to them that he loves. I like that the hood isn't pointy; I've seen that in some other cheap cloaks and it gives them kind of a problematic look. This one hangs naturally so it's not too obviously a cheap costume. It will look good out on Halloween.

The scythe is junk but my grandson LOVES the costume itself to play in the yard in. It's been washed 3x a week with his laundry all summer and is still in perfect condition. Can't complain.

My son loved this costume, that's why I'm giving it 4 stars, but it really is extremely cheap. The scythe is the thinnest plastic you can imagine and broke within minutes (had to tape it back together), and the glowing glasses came broken - thankfully my husband is very handy and was able to bend the bent metal pieces back to where they should have been to start with. We also had to tie ropes to the end of the glasses and basically tie them to his head to get them to stay on as they were too big. The cloak, headpiece, and gloves were thin but a nice material, not too cheap feeling. Overall it was a pain in butt for us parents, but my son loved it so much, and in the end he looked fantastic.

Great costume. My son and the neighbors loved it! Great price too. The size fit perfect - he is a size 10/12. It’s great quality and we were pleasantly surprised. It comes with the scythe. We added some extras.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the face covering hood and lighted glasses but the material was sheer enough to allow for good eyesight and the glasses go under the eye. The scythe was cheep quality but lasted two events.
