At first I was unsure if I was going to like these, but they break in pretty fast if you're willing to take some long walks in them. They're super grippy on surfaces like concrete and marble. I haven't tested the water resistance, but it seems like a well made sole and the suede with canvas like material in the upper structure seem nicely stitched. No rough edges and nothing frayed. The tongue is a little shorter than I would like and the insole a bit too stiff. Other than those nitpicks I have no complaints. ... show more

So this is supposed to be a walking shoe. Yes, it is supportive and has a good walking sole and seems to be wearing well after repeated multi-mile walks. However, this shoe is very hard on my feet. There doesn't seems to be much padding. changed out the insoles which helped, but it is still like walking on concrete. Additionally, these shoes are VERY heavy. As far as the shoe, it's very well constructed, sturdy, but for me they are too hard and a bit heavy. I bought them looking for more support, and they give you that, but to work in them all day, I had to go with a more sneaker type.
