I literally spent hours doing research on duvets learning the ins and outs of the language such as what fill ratio means in regards to warmth, etc., (lol!) and decided on this one. I must say this duvet exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended. Below you will find my Pros and Cons list to help save you some time. Wish someone had written this for me when I was researching it. LOL! Pros: - Filling: They really are truthful when they say what it is filled with. The duvet tag says 75% fill and I believe it. It is soft and fluffy. Keeps us warm but not overheated. We plan on using this year round and we live where we have winter, but a mild winter. - Filling Quality: It really is the small soft feathers of a goose they advertise it is filled with. No pointy or sharp feathers anywhere in the duvet. The one that we purchased from another seller (different brand etc,) was filled with so many sharp feathers that when you sat on the bed it was a worry you were going to get stabbed. I did get stabbed once... and it really hurt! Not with this duvet. All the feathers are soft and fluffy. - No Noise: It is super quiet. That "sharp" duvet we returned from that other brand/seller was super loud. Not this one. It is super quiet. Makes for a more restful nights sleep. - Fluff Level: It really does fluff up like they say it should. It came with the little paddle to help with that, but I went the other route they suggested in the instructions and just popped it in the dryer for 10-20 minutes on low and it came out perfect! - No Smell: No odor! Some duvets stink, but not this one. Thank goodness! - No Feather Loss: Because of the high thread count it doesn't shed feathers everywhere. We've had duvets that look like you murdered a duck in your bedroom every time you take the duvet cover off to be washed. Not with this one! The feathers stay in the duvet which means you won't have to replace this over time due to feather loss. - Cost: This is priced very well for the quality of the duvet. When you open the package you can tell you're getting a high quality product. Well worth the investment. Cons: - The little paddle which protects the duvet at the top when you slice open the box had shifted so if I had opened the box without care, I might have accidentally cut the duvet. I'd recommend instead of hoping the paddle will protect the center slit where you would normally run a knife over it to open the box, that they put a large piece of cardboard there, just to be safe. But not a big deal. Just good to know when you open the box. We absolutely love this duvet and it is nice to be able to get a good quality one at an affordable price that is made the way they used to make stuff (not skimping on materials or quality). I love this comfortor. Zero bad smell as some similar products have. The 8 loops are great for securing to a duvet., although it’s so nice, you may net need a duvet! I spent 10-12 minutes using the hand paddle and wow! It worked great. This was a good purchase for under $200.

Well the other reviews along with the lead photograph of the product is misleading. I do product photography as part of my job and I can say with confidence that the photograph shown is not the product being sold. I fluffed and shook this comforter and even ran it through the dryer on air-dry and this does not have the level of fill shown in the photograph. I'll probably keep it for summer use but this is not adequate for cold winter nights. Get out your PJs if you want to be warm.

It's made vg, top cover soft no noise, smaller square pockets excellent to hold down etc . It's not heavy perfect for winter fall warmth , summer probably to warm. It's definitely a vg buy compared to other comforters of similar design and down content 75 % + and white feathers. The description/pictures on Amazon seems to indicate 100% duck down ( best & most expensive) however product tag lists mini 75%. This fact is misleading. Most other companies list % of down , feathers etc. Company, & Amazon should insist, should also list % of fill , however still a v competitive quality product and price , a clear vg buy.

For the price, this comforter is really nice. Not too heavy and has some fluff. No issues with with shedding either. Good find after buying several others and returning.

Not recommended. very light and overpri ed, made in China, so no authenticity of hungarian Goose down. Very Light! Poor quality cover. the cover is polyester cotton, instead of the advertised 500 count cotton.
