I expected something like a course grind of crab shell. This is a powder. I bought it to control root knot nematodes and it seems to be working for that. The powder puffs out of the bag before it is even open - and it STINKS really bad like old fish. Anyway I would like it better if it were more of a course grind and something that did not go airborne so easily. But otherwise there is no question that it is really crab shell - buy the smell - and it does seem to be controlling my root knot nematodes.
