Great colorful set of dishes. I've been looking for unique new dishes, saw these, fell in love and ordered them. The texture is amazing. These are very heavy which could be good or bad. The lip on the plates is very handy and the colors are striking. Unfortunately, the dishes were very well packed by the manufacturer, but the mugs didn't seem as well packed as the plated and bowls. The set arrived with the sound of something broken inside and the UPS guy making a point to mention it. Sadly I opened the box to 2 broken mugs (of 4) and everything else intact. I would have kept the dishes if there was an option to get a small refund for the mugs, but only option was to return or replace. I paid almost full price, which I don't often do, so returned the set. Haven't reordered just yet, waiting to see if mug packaging might improve. It's a pain to have to return items especially after getting excited about them. I still very much recommend these, with the warning they are thick and heavy and may not be best for those with limited hand strength. ... show more

I absolutely love these dishes! I was surprised to answer the door and see the UPS guy carrying this huge box into my house. I wasn't expecting anything really big so I wasn't sure what to expect. I quickly opened the box only to discover more boxes inside - heavy boxes, packaged so tight it was a little difficult to get the first box out. But when I did I opened it to find thick foam layers hugged up to 4 heavy, thick, beautiful mugs, the next containing dinner plates, salad or dessert plates and bowls. I think this is probably the best packaged item I have ever received. The outside box was probably at least 2 ft by 3 ft and all of the boxes were a very thick sturdy cardboard and each individual dish was separated from the others with a thick piece of foam. Needless to say there was not a chip or crack anywhere. The dishes are gorgeous, so brightly colored and well made and are sturdy without being too heavy. I love the way the plates have a large rim which curves up around the edges. They hold as much as you want to pile on them. They are the only plates I will use now if my meal has any sort of sauce or gravy (and being a true Southerner, a lot of mine do) and never have a worry that I might spill a drop. The smaller plate (salad/dessert?) is plenty big for most meals. I have reserved the larger ones for when I'm having company or eating several slices of pizza. The bowls and mugs/cups are huge, really huge. My smaller size coffee pot completely fills the mug. The dishes are bright and colorful with a unique classy looking fan pattern and the colors look like they are made deep into the surface and should not chip or fade easily. I also like that there are 4 bright happy colors and that they're not matchy matchy or boring. They definitely have brightened up my kitchen and dining area and they look like I probably spent a fortune on them but the entire set was less than $100. Love them! ... show more

I hadn’t purchased a new dinnerware set since 2015, so it was definitely time for a new and improved upgrade. After eyeing many different sets over the years, but never purchasing, and then to seeing the listing for this colorful DOWAN Ceramic Dinnerware Set with a Mandala Pattern, I just knew these were the one. Hands down, the most beautiful dinnerware set I have ever owned, and probably have ever seen; absolute incredible detail & really gorgeous colors. Each piece: dinner plate, dessert plate, soup bowl, and coffee mugs are much larger compared to any other set I’ve previously owned; which is really great when it comes to serving a lot of food, but not having to use up more dishes for those extra servings or sides. The upward, curved lip on the plates is such a beautiful & unique design; just that extra detail in which makes this set even more special & stand out. Of course, excellent for controlling spillage, as well. Oh, that pattern; that gorgeous Mandala Pattern. The pattern is not just painted on, it is actually an embossed design, in which you can feel while running your fingers across each piece - simply stunning!! This set just brings me joy, which is much needed & appreciated, especially during these wild times of life, and I have found myself actually looking forward to cooking now, just knowing I’ll be plating our meals on this exquisite dinnerware set. And I must add… I have never ordered dishes to be delivered to my front door, and I was a little concerned about their protection during transport, but they arrived in immaculate condition; packaged extremely well. Very high-quality: strong, durable, microwave-safe, dishwasher-safe, and GORGEOUS… If I could rate this dinnerware set 100 stars, I would.     • Beautiful but fragile!!!
I was so excited to buy my very first complete set of dishes and the mandala patterned set is quite lovely, however, it's 6 months in and most of the pieces are chipped or have broken completely! I'd be willing to replace the set but the price has gone up and I just can't bring myself to pay more for dishes I know won't last another year :( :( I will add that it's just my husband and I and we aren't hard on our dishes, they really are just fragile ... show more
