I am impressed by the full range clarity and power through my pa speakers at full volume. My other pa, peavey with 400W rating couldn't handle full volume. Seems like more than 120W/ ch. Easy bluetooth pairing.

    • A powerful amp in a small form factor, packed with the features I needed.
To being, this little amp is just what I needed for my application. I'm powering two Definitive Technology AW6500 outdoor speakers with it. Pros: Size - This amp is small in terms of amplifiers. It's Class D, so small form factor is the name of the game. Power - The power it puts out is consistent. I have no issues powering my 200w speakers as this amp provides 160 watts per channel. Features - The bass and treble control was a huge selling factor for me. Having the ability to adjust the tone sets this amp apart from others. The knobs have a metalized texture that allows for easy adjustments, even with wet or sweaty fingers. The inputs and source options are a big plus as well. Speaker connectors - The connectors on the rear of the amp that accept speaker wire are decent quality. The screw posts that retain the speaker wire are made of plastic, which seems pretty standard for these amps. I'd suggest using the banana plugs to maintain a more reliable connection, especially if you move the amp from time to time. Cons: Bluetooth - While Bluetooth connectivity was the primary method of connectivity I had in mind when deciding to purchase this amp, the range of the Bluetooth is poor. Most Bluetooth is reliable within 30-33 feet. When having my phone in my pocket and walking 15-20 feet away from this amp, it can cut in and out, and it's solely a BT connectivity issue. With Bluetooth 5.0 technology, I'm not sure an external antenna is necessary, but it's worth noting that this amp does not include an external antenna. Overall, I'd recommend this amp to anyone looking to power accessory speakers like bookshelf speakers or outdoor speakers. I have not used it in a home theater setting, but I imagine if your setup is compatible with the ports on this amp, it would work well. The Bluetooth connectivity issue I mentioned is manageable (which is why this amp is still getting a 5-star rating) if you leave your Bluetooth connected device nearby, but it's definitely something to be aware of if you plan on being at the outer reaches of the Bluetooth connectivity range. ... show more

I have owned several of these little digital chip amps from Fosi, Douk, Nobsound, etc-etc. This one is my favorite. These are FAR from their rated power of "160 watts x 2". Not sure why companies inflate numbers. Williston Audio Labs on YouTube uses an audio amplifier dyno to measure power amplifiers. I find his results dead on accurate for us "old timers" more familiar with 1970/80's amplifier ratings. His results without getting too technical: 85 watts per channel at 4 ohms certified (1% THD) He was running the stock 32v AC/DC adapter. These amps are not rated for 2 ohm loads, but he tested them anyways: 135 watts per channel dynamic RMS at 2 ohms "burst" Impressive! Again, this is with the stock adapter. These chipsets can run up to 36v...so, if you buy a 36v (10 amp) adapter, I am sure you might squeeze more watts out of this unit. SOUND QUALITY - these are the warmest sounding little amps I have ever used. Dead silent, distortion free (until you clip it) FEATURES - sub out and selectable inputs with a switch is excellent. - USB for source music -- old school cool! - Bluetooth is top notch - no issues connecting and range BOTTOM LINE - It is not a "160w x 2" amplifier but, powerful enough for 99.9% of buyers. With a dedicated SUB-OUT RCA jack it is ready to go. Buy it. If you listen to your music really really l loud and need a little more power, get a 36v (10-amp) AC/DC adapter.     • great little amp with caveats
I bought two of these one died, the other is hanging in there. Very good output power. Used for about 2 weeks (maybe a few hours total) before one unit completely died. Bluetooth connectivity without external antenna is spotty. Both amps had poor bluetooth range so I doubt its BT v5 or its implementation is poor. Perhaps its due to a internal circuit board antenna and its inside the metal case. Bluetooth codec is SBC so expect fair audio quality on the bluetooth link. I used the RCA aux in so I didn't care as much until I didnt bring my ES100MK2 Bluetooth DAC with me. I've used this little powerhouse on many types of speakers from 8ohm down to 4ohm and it drives them nicely. I use the ES100 as it has lossless link and a 10 band eq and other audio filters to custom tailor the sound to whatever speakers I am driving at the time. The volume pot is non linear and most volume will be found from 0 to about halfway (12 o'clock) after that gain is minimal. Take care that the amp doesn't get too hot and safe practice is to never drive an amp past 80% volume for an extended period. Even so, one of my units died. Amazon refunded the failed one. Overall for the cost and the inclusion of the honking 32v 5 amp supply, nice packing, and excellent form factor, I reccommend this purchase. ... show more

    • Second unit a charm
Well turns out the first one I bought was from Amazon warehouse and it was returned and most likely only visually inspected. I chose Amazon warehouse cause they shipped faster. The second unit was brand new and Wow is it loud and clean. The chip they use in fact can output a total of 320W RMS to both speakers at 4 ohms. The power supply they provide cannot supply that continuously. At 8 ohms you get a total clean power of 160W No problem. My first unit had no speaker outputs but the subwoofer output worked. Very impressive unit for twice the price. It is so small and light the weight of the cables can slide it around. Bluetooth input is handy. I'm using mine to drive two high quality studio monitor near field speakers. The sound great. ... show more

The old (and quite expensive) Harmon/Kardon receiver/amp I've been carrying around since the late 1990s had been living out it's last year at the little gym my wife & I own, where it slowly died. It was a workhorse, and served its purpose well, but I when it came time to replace it, my gym didn't need all those bells and whistles. What it needed was something very simple - analog & bluetooth input, powerful stereo output to run several gym speakers. This little gem came highly recommended, and it turned out to be perfect for our needs. It's elegant - simple dials and switches, no useless menus or screens, not an inch of waste in its compact design. It's even smaller and more beautiful in person than I imagined. And, boy howdy, it puts out a lot of sound. Douk knows what they're doing - if you need big stereo sound in a small package, I could not recommend this little dude more. ... show more
