  • Beware, no power/bluetooth on hot days
At first, the functionality of this unit was satisfactory for me. However, there was a few things to note: 1). The unit felt lightweight. This was odd because every other double-din unit I have owned was heavy, this made the unit feel very cheap. 2.) The factory brackets for a 2000 Toyota Camry would not fit. I had to superglue them to the unit in order for it to work. The brackets included with the unit, well, I couldn't see them working in too many situations. They're really standard and some car configurations are odd. Not the fault of the supplier but, something to note. 3.) My biggest gripe with this unit, which made me return it is it stopped working on very hot days in the car. At first, I was having bluetooth connectivity issues, and then shortly after I lost all power to the unit and wouldn't be able to restart it until it wasn't hot out anymore or it cooled down. Eventually though, it just stopped working so I returned this. All in all, don't buy into the reviews. Save your money and buy a cheap unit from Crutchfield or just buy a higher quality Double-DIN unit. At first this one was great, had nice features but the Android Auto was dreadfully slow and of course it stopped working. Definitely buy at your own risk. ... show more

  • Looks great with many capabilities.
This thing looks very good when plugged up and the compatability and capabilities are awesome. I gave this 4 stars because of 1 flaw and its not due to installation. Every so often the radio wants to stay on even when the car is shut off an keys out of the ignition. We've found that unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes it however to do so you have to remove all the dash panels that hold it in which is a pain. Had it not be for that this would be a 5 star review. Not unhappy with purchase just wish this wasn't an issue. ... show more

  • Almost returned the radio
The radio locked up and wouldn't shut off. I figured it needed rebooting, so I disconnected all power to it... Then it wouldn't turn on!!! After checking all the connections, I found the hole in the front of the radio to reset it. I stuck a paperclip into the hole, pushed the internal reset switch. Shazam! Now it works like new again. I like the radio. It has much better menu layouts than my Kenwood. I just think it's dumb I have to carry around a paperclip for the times it locks up. FYI, I think it only locks up when the usb is connected to my IPhone. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Antenna hole too big on the radio!!
Did not receive any camera wires in package. Said it should come with an A and B wire for camera. The antenna plug hole on the radio is too big for the antenna cord that is in my 2004 chevy silverado crewcab. It said it fit my chevy truck. Plus, I have never seen where the antenna plug doesn't fit into every antenna hole. So, now I need to find an adapter because one did not come with it. The brackets don't line up perfectly with holes in the radio to screw the brackets on. The wiring was a pain. I just hope it works great after all this trouble. The company needs to correct these issues!!! ... show more

  • Most Likely going to return.
I bought this car radio because I wanted Apple Car Play. Sure this radio is on the low end of those with CarPlay but i accept that it's hokey and the interface feels like windows 95, it's how i roll, I don't even care that it needs a cord. Problem is everything works fine EXCEPT Apple Car Play. As with most electronics of this caliber, the operating instructions are paltry. Muddling through the options on my own i did find an Apple connection type that was defaulted to 'CPL' instead of iOS. Changing this option to iOS I was able to Mirror my Phone screen on the device. This is fine but not what I want, besides this buried option defaulted back to CPL every-time I turned off the car. You can see the Screens I was getting when I plugged in My iPhone XR with an actual Apple cord, they just hung there indefinitely. The other frustration is that the instruction manual essentially said to do this (leave a review) for support. So I'll wait a few days and then just end up sending this back to Amazon only to have some Fulfillment Center person tag it and it will end up in the trash. SO, Shengfeng Store, surprise me and reach out with a solution. Edit Update: I did engage Amazon Tech Support on this problem because I noticed the posting said that it was available. What they asked me to do was reset the radio to 'factory' settings. this did not solve the problem. I returned the radio. <sigh> ... show more

  • Low volume and bad right rear sound
Not sure why all the 5 star reviews but I guess I am an audiophile compared to most. This stereo was not very loud at max volume especially with the engine running. The passenger right read speaker sounded terrible with this stereo for some reason. I couldn't use the nice stereo brackets that were made for my car and fit perfectly. Only the brackets this stereo comes with can be used. I returned it and got a BOSS BVCP9700A which is more than twice as loud and sounds much better. It is so much louder I dont think I will ever turn it to max volume. ... show more

  • It works
It does work. Performs all the basic functions as it should. Everything about this feels cheap and like a knock off. The touch screen works, the radio works fine but the volume selection for the radio is different than it is for the Bluetooth. Screen sharing didn't work. The android auto did work but it wanted me to download some Chinese 3rd party app to make it work. Over all, yes it fulfills it's duty as a radio but I wouldn't buy it again and I wouldn't recommend it. I would spend the extra money to get a name brand stereo ... show more

  • It’s okay
Pros : Price Apple Car Play Cons : Installation was just awful, had to completely customize the bracket, and it hardly works. Wiring it was also NOT fun. Kenwood, although much more expensive, was so easy to wire. It does not work with a back up camera, when I hooked the reverse signals up, the back up camera will only function when NOT in reverse. It’s backwards. Most head units have an option to reverse the polarity, this cheap Chinese one does not. Would I buy it it again? Absolutely not. Am I leaving it in? Absolutely. ... show more

  • Does the job
I put this in and it came with some nice features but it’s definitely lacking. Feels cheep and it glitches from time to time and won’t shut off until it’s unplugged. I enjoy the features it offers but if I could do it again I would probably dish out a few more bucks for a more quality radio.

  • Fake reviews, poor fitment…but could be worse
Update: now it’s doing this thing where it randomly reboots for no reason. Unfortunately I am gonna have to go down to 1 star at this point Ok so, only reason I’m not giving this 1 star is because the price kind of indicates the quality you’re getting, so it should come as no surprise. Let’s get started: Pros: 1. CarPlay works decently Cons 1. 90% of these 5 start reviews are fake - especially the ones in other languages, they’re mostly about complete nonsense or unrelated items 2. I only got this because I wanted CarPlay and didn’t want to pay $450 for a CarPlay Kenwood. Fitment is TERRIBLE. I had to modify my dash kit heavily to get this to fit into my 96 Lexus 3. I’m an idiot and bought a second one for my 96 Landcruiser. Again, this time I to permanently ruin my center console bezel to make this fit (and it’s not a double din issue, last unit I had fit perfectly but didn’t have car play 4. The EQ resets anytime I turn the car off, custom EQ won’t save, the quick EQ has bass and treble but no midrange adjustment, the power button has no adjustment for a fixed color (it just blinks like a rainbow and is extremely annoying) 5. Sound quality is a joke. There’s a constant high pitch whine anytime you turn volume past 2/3 6. CarPlay disconnects when it feels like it (even when plugged in successfully and actively charging) 7. Looks cheap, feels cheap, volume knob falls off unless you glue it 8. Bass is either 0 or 1000. No in between. And if you fine tune the EQ juuuust right…it resets the minute you turn the car off. And the preset EQ’s are absolute trash Summary: would I buy this again? Depends. Got a personal car? Absolutely not. To add quick value and convenience to a car I’m flipping? Ok fine. • Fit issues
Used a Merta kit to replace my double DIN head unit but this stereo wasn't a good fit. I had to cut the mounts to accommodate non-standard screw locations and trim the side pieces to fit.

  • it’s pretty cheap you get what you pay for
Works alright for how cheap it was only issue I have with it is it doesn’t save my audio settings and sometimes the buttons don’t work unless I turn my truck on and off but other than that solid lil unit

  • Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with a ‘99 F250 Superduty
May be fine for some vehicles, but the installation process to make it fit in my truck was hell. Way more modifications than a true double din stereo with a dash kit. I barely made it work, it’s definitely not the same dimensions as a regular double din aftermarket stereo and the screws on the side don’t work out with dash kits well either. All in all ones it’s in it’s fine I guess ... show more
