At first you'll probably think it's too big for the socket, I can assure you it isn't. It is a tight fit but it will get the job done with a little force. I was able to remove the outlet underneath my radio and the one located in the center console. The tool worked well just the handle needs to be rounded, for some comfort kinda sharp the lighter unit for the Durango is a power outlet they are not the same

    • Special tool makes easy fix
Was able to replace the plastic housing without having to take apart anything. Took less than 5 minutes which makes the price worth it in saved time.

    • Does NOT work for a 2013 Dodge RAM 1500
The removal tool works fine. It is made of aluminum, so it is easy to bend. But it got the job done with a bit of force. The lighter socket does NOT fit the 2013 RAM. There are a number of pictures here in the review section. The RAM uses the BLUE socket. The grey socket is keyed wrong.

    • Did not fit my 2017 Dodge Durango, as stated.
Although, I'm sure that this product will work for other makes and models, it did not fit my 2017 Dodge Durango R/T AWD. The tool that was included was definitely handy. Upon removing the original adapter, I found that the connector groves were not the same. They were actually in reverse.
