I love this purse in person. The picture does not give it justice, as it is large enough for everyday use without being in the way. The purse is a very deep black and the gold hardware makes it really pop! And it smells deliciously like true leather should. I have been caught in the rain a few times and I simply wiped down the purse with a dry cloth with no damage to the purse whatsoever. This is a high quality, genuine leather bag. My intention is for this to one day be a vintage piece I gift to my daughter on her 18th birthday and I have ZERO doubts that with the right care and storage this bag will make it there 14yrs from now. Like other reviews said, this bag is very heavy but that doesn’t bother me personally. Tonsss of space inside with a zip pocket and 2 side pockets. The bag was beautiful too look at but the leather was much stiffer than other Dooney Ostrich print bags that I have. Ultimately, I sent it back and got the mini size because this was one too big for me. The mini version I ordered from Dooney's website and it was the softer leather that I expected. Doesn't really have the high quality finish of older Dooney & Bourke. Opening is small and hard to get in and out of, zipper is scratchy. interior pockets are not secured, don't reach the bottom and kind of "float" not a real sturdy purse to get in and out of. Bit of a disappointment. Prefer to find something used with a "higher end" finish one expects from such a company ... show more
