This pet car seat is so helpful for keeping my dog comfortable and stationary on long drives. The car seat slips over the headrest of the seat and then has adjustable straps so you can shape it to your dog. There is a buckle you can use to attach a harness (not included). I love that it is so easy to set up and take out of the car. I use the car seat inside and then, once we reach our destination, I can easily take it out and use it as a resting place or dog bed. The fabric is loud and slippery so I don't know how comfortable it is to lay on, but it does make it very easy to clean. It makes noise every time my dog moves so I usually tuck a towel inside to keep it clean and quiet. I was hoping that it would provide a boost so that my little dog could see outside the window, but it doesn't really elevate the height of your dog unless you put something beneath it. The car seat has several little pockets you can use to store toys, treats, etc. inside, which is very handy. This car seat makes me and my pet feel safer and more comfortable in the car. Makes a great gift for any pet owner!

This new and improved car seat for pets is a great invention! At first, my cat seemed somewhat surprised to be out of her usual enclosed cat carrier in the back seat - to be in the car with me, in pretty much the cat equivalent of a kid's car seat, and looking around - and now it's the only way to go! It’s easy to attach to the car using the strap that goes over the head rest, and easy to use the special attachment to anchor your animal’s collar to the seat. I left the seat around for the cats to sniff before using it, and you can see from the expression on the cat’s face in the picture that she did NOT like the feeling of the plastic cushion. When I actually use it, I put a sheep-skin insert over the plastic, and that works well - no vomiting on the trip - woo hoo! P.S.: As you'll see in the photos, both cats also want you to know that when not in the car, this also makes at great home-based cat bed!.

My dog is terrified of being in the car. If we even start walking towards it, she starts shaking and trying to run away. I must not have read the description very well, or I would not have gotten this item. I thought a cozy seat would make my little nervous-nellie feel a bit more secure, but this is made of crinkly, windbreaker material. It makes noises every time she steps or moves. I understand that that is great for cleaning up spills and accidents, but it does not help with an incredibly nervous dog who is afraid of the noises in the car, to add more noises to the experience. My dog doesn't have trouble with accidents in the car, so something with a softer fabric will do better fo us. Other than that, it's well made and I can see how it would work well for other dogs, just maybe not for very nervous dogs.

I question how much protection this dog car seat would provide in something bigger than a fender bender accident. It would certainly keep your dog more comfortable during travel, but a lack of features leaves me wanting something more. Pros: - The fabric would be hard wearing and resist some dirt. - It is easy to attach to the front seat though it will depend on the type of car if this can be attached to the back seat (so pro and con) - Zips into a normal dog bed by folding under the back section, but see photos for how this also makes the pocket upside down. Cons: - As mentioned, the back pocket turns upside down when used as a dog bed instead of a seat back. - The collar/harness leash webbing feels weaker and more flimsy than the nylon webbing used for the top and bottom seat attachment points. It is about half the width compared to the other stuff and is attached to the bed itself, which means it would have a lot of movement allowed in an accident before stopping the forward momentum of the dog. Also, it means there are many spots for potential joint failure in such a circumstance and for the leash to break. - The center pillow is thin and extremely noisy. It sounds like the worst waterproof fabric possible, feels like plastic, and wouldn't add much comfort for a dog. - The padding around the bed that forms the walls is also thinner than it appears and wouldn't provide much support compared to a normal dog bed. In the past, I've used a clip on leash that buckles into the seatbelt attachments in a car and then to a safety harness on the dog with a dog bed in the backseat. This dog car seat seemed like a nice alternative to try, but it lacks the same level of safety and comfort of my usual solution so I won't be using this dog car seat.

This seat/bed is so soft and luxurious, no matter HOW spoiled your pet is, she (or he) will absolutely fall in love with this one. It's plush, it's soft, it's very well padded and the quality is definitely there! This will outlast the cheaper ones while providing a much nicer place for our pup to sleep. She didn't even wait until it was in the car, I took it out of the bag and put it together - and when I walked away for a minute, she must've gone over to decide if she liked it or not. It appears she did, since she crawled right in and curled up. The price is higher, yes. But so are ALL of the materials, and the quality and workmanship. If you want one that will last, this will be the perfect choice. Trust me, if your dog could choose her own car bed, she would choose this one!

My husband and I adopted a bonded pair of pups earlier this year that were flown to our town. We wanted to make sure the car ride home was as smooth as possible, so we got this seat for Marshall, a 20-pound rat terrier mix. As you can see, he snuggled right in for a long drive home. Although we haven't been on any road trips since, the next time we travel with our dogs we will definitely do it with this convenient and comfortable seat.
