Features

  • [The Ideal Travel Guitar] Donners HUSH I portable guitar is as lightweight as a laptop. It features a headless design, button tuners, and removable frames. The provided gig bag measures 33.5"x 6.7"x 2.2" and fits inside airplane overhead bins. Take music on the go with you.
  • [Practice Anytime, Anywhere] Ultra-quiet (30 - 45dB) pizzicato playing, equipped with a preamp system delivering a natural-sounding acoustic tone through headphones or the 6.35 output. Powered by a 9v battery, this acoustic electric guitar provides 50 hours of headphone use or 30 days of 6.35 speaker output. Enjoy your show on stage or practice quietly at home without worrying about running out of battery or disturbing others.
  • [Superior Sound Quality] - The ideal electric acoustic guitar is equipped with an anti-phase botton for noise reduction, feedback elimination, and a purer sound. The 2-stage EQ and volume knobs allow for customization tones to build your acoustic guitar whether strumming chords or playing solos.
  • [Make Practice More Comfortable] - The HUSH travel guitar acoustic has an asymmetrical guitar neck, which helps players perform better both in higher and lower neck positions while reducing wrist fatigue during long practice sessions. Customized round frets are beginner-friendly to prevent finger cuts during practice.
  • [Hidden Tuning Key] An anti-drop magnetic tuning key is included for neck tuning, bottom tuners, and frame screw installation, and it lives in a hidden compartment so youve always got it at hand.

  • Very pleased with the guitar, as a travel guitar and silent practice guitar.
Style: Mahogany Color: Natrual
I am very pleased with the Donner HUSH Guitar for what it is and the specific application I purchased it for: to have a very portable travel guitar, with a full-scale neck, available for an upcoming trip. To keep your chops up and your repertoire stage-ready, over an extended trip, it's nice to have a travel guitar that breaks down this small — only 33 inches X 6 inches in it's case. There are several options for travel guitars: including guitars where the neck folds, or very small guitaralele's which have shorter necks and usually tune to a different scale. I've owned several other travel guitars. However, I want to play in the same key and have my fingers learning and practicing the same placement and stretches as my full-size guitars. I don't want a little tiny 1/2 or 3/4 size guitar that sounds like a child's first guitar. The Donner HUSH fits the bill perfectly. The fact that it is a silent guitar with a built-in headphone amp is a plus also. Traveling in a car I can play this short headless guitar and not bother anyone else in the car, even though I can hear it in headphones better than if I was trying to practice with a traditional acoustic guitar. With the braces removed and inside it's case, the guitar is so small I can't imagine not being able to carry it on a plane, which is the main reason I purchased it. Given the relatively low price, the quality and playability seem good to me. The sound in headphones isn't as refined as the Yahmaha silent guitar, but it doesn't cost as much and it breaks down to a smaller size. I've owned 2 Yamaha silent guitars, both the nylon string and the steel string. This time I chose this over the Yamaha, because it's smaller, more affordable, and all I am buying it for is a travel/practice guitar — period. It is a piezo-based acoustic sounding instrument, not like an electric guitar powered by magnetic pick-ups. With processing from pedals, an IR loader, compression, saturation, and reverb, I'm sure the sound could be brought up to a very respectable acoustic-guitar-like quality; but I probably won't ever perform in front of people with this guitar. It's about practicing silently and traveling. Although, if an opportunity demands it, the guitar will plug into any Bluetooth speaker with an 1/8th inch input, or a regular guitar amp's 1/4 inch input, so in a pinch, you could gig with it. Having said all that, now, after owning the guitar and playing it for a few weeks, there are a few improvements that I could suggest to the manufacturer — simple, inexpensive improvements that could raise the guitar's performance and value to a much higher level. I will probably work on that wish list and submit it directly to Donner, but again, I'm happy with the guitar. ... show more

  • Ingenious design
Style: Maple Color: Natrual
Ok, so this review is actually about the Donner Hush-X. The compact design is like no other. I mean, without the brackets attached it fits in a bag you might put a couple baseball bats in. That slim. The brackets also fit in the provided carry bag and there are several pockets to put related items including the handy tuner Donner gifts to buyers of this guitar. A very clever strap is also included as our picks and several extra allen wrenches. A nice little amp cord as well and get this...some very cool earbuds. The earbuds fit nicely in the ear but Donner went one further and designed them so they are sound-tight. You'll have to see them to fully understand this. Now the important stuff: The neck is a shallow C shape similar to my Gilmore Strat. I'm not sure what the fretboard is made of ..I assume some cool polymer, but it's great. Lightning fast and it just feels right. Further, it's a full scale neck! You won't see that on many travel guitars. This thing plays like a full size. I was very apprehensive about the tuners. Guess what? I do some serious bending and the strings just stay in tune. My Traveler guitar has to be tuned about every time I pick it up. Not this Hush-X. It's remarkable. The action required a bit of tweaking. Many might like the standard string height but I wanted the action lower. Fortunately the bridge can be adjusted so I didn't have to do too much with the truss. The electronics are plenty good but I have to mess with the settings a bit more before I can do a write up on the electronics as a whole, but so far so good. I have an assortment of guitars but find myself playing this little guy a ton since it's arrival. I figured out how to hang it next to my bed by one of the brackets. My wife can be sound asleep next to me and I can play without waking her or stabbing her in the head with a headstock. So that's a plus. Speaking of brackets...these things are way more cool than they're pictured. They're sturdy, fit very securely and I couldn't ask for a better fit to my body as I hold the guitar. Standing, sitting , lying down...the brackets just work and it's great having a guitar of this size at my disposal. Trust me, buy one and you'll practice and play much more than you are currently playing. And that in itself is a huge and unforeseen bonus. I'm telling all my friends about this guitar. If you read my other reviews you'll see I do my best to tell it like it is. I should add that I had a couple questions about this guitar and the customer service person (Zoe) I emailed was quick to respond and was just incredibly helpful. Zoe was amazing and so is this little guitar. I suspect as word gets around the price of this guitar will go up.... I sincerely believe you'd be wise to buy yours today. ... show more
