I bought this to use fro backyard parties and to learn DMX. It works great and does what I want. Goes great with a fog machine as well. You can see all the laser lights. Very good for a beginner light system.

The lights work great and has nice features, other than one thing... well, it's possible that it is user error, but I can't figure out a way to turn off the laser feature without turning off the lights altogether. According to which direction I set this up in the room, I would like to be able to turn that feature off. The size is also very convenient. This is the way to have karaoke now!!! ... show more

Awesome party light at an affordable price! I got this more a man-cave setup, but I think this thing would be great for smaller venues and clubs as well. Lots of versatility, and patterns. Build quality is pretty decent as well. Over all, a nice light for the price!

This disco ball style laser light light is great. It has multiple display functions including different color and cycle/strobe functions as well as a sound reactive mode. The remote works well but the icing on the cake is that it is DMX compatible so that you can add it into your current DMX setup. DMX works well and responds as expected so that you can have full control over the device. The device itself is of a good build quality and it even coms ready with mounting brackets so that you can hang it from a truss. At the current price of $39.99 this is an excellent deal and a product that I can recommend to anyone looking to liven up an event or DJ performance. ... show more

    • Really amazing addition to my setup.
I've been assembling a starter setup, and this is my favorite light. It is DMX compatible, so I was able to get it paired to my tablet quickly and easily using the information included with it. It is very bright. It throws patterns, works as a wall or ceiling washer, has a great selection of colors and patterns to choose from, to blend together, and it's really easy to operate. It can be set to respond to music/hand claps, or set on a pattern. It has more features than any of my other lights. I really like the feature of being able to change the colors by blending them one into the other, which isn't as jarring as just switching from one color to the other. You can switch from one to the other, but the color blend option is so smooth, so seamless, and it really elevates this light and makes it stand out from the other lights that I have. As someone just starting out, I'm really impressed with this light. I think that it would be great for anyone just starting out or who's been in the business for a while. I've had some fun playing with all the options and settings on it and I'm looking forward to using it at my next event. While it does put out a lot of light over a very large area compared to my other lights, I would like to pick up another to cover even more space. Not a professional DJ just got this to have some fun with it on our party nights and game nights in our rec room to add a little pizzazz. It definitely has added a little bit of flare and fun when we sing some karaoke and have the lights going with it. The remote is a little difficult for us to figure out and work and it might be because we're not professional DJs. So I did take a star off for that just because we're not sure how to work that. But we would still highly recommend this to anyone that is looking either as a professional or someone just looking to have some fun with their friends on game night and/or party night. ... show more

Remember the days when you went to concerts and they would have cool laser shows? Well now you can have one at home. This thing is so cool. I have it at the band practice room and at this point, we have spent hours watching the different variations that this light will do and still haven't discovered all of them. Remember how you could get a cat mesmerized with a laser light, well this is us down in the band room. And yes it does have sound activation so whether we're playing or we're just listening to music, it changes with the beats and the sounds. We have multiple different lights in our room, but have taken them down because this is the complete package. We even moved tapestries around on the ceiling to allow more space for the light display. It does have a mounting bracket but for the moment we just have it sitting on the soundboard desk so it's aimed upward towards the ceiling. If you decide to hang it and aim it towards a wall, I would recommend that it be a blank wall so you can see the full effect of the different patterns and lights that this unit offers. We've used the remote to find out the different light settings and effects, but most of the time, we just turn it on and let it do it's thing. It comes in an aluminum casing so it does have some weight to it, but the bracket is definitely strong enough to hold it without problem should you decide to hang it up. It is electric so you'll need a outlet source, but in my opinion this is so much better than if it was battery based since you'll more than likely be using this for extended use. As you can tell by my long winded rambling that I'm a huge fan of this light as I am with all the Donner products that I've seen and use. I can definitely recommend this light without hesitation.
