    • Great for gigs, shows and parties!
Very pleased to have the opportunity to review the KeoBin DJ Laser Party Light which I have found to be of excellent construction and quality. This is by no means a cheap, plastic unit. There are a lot of features with the KeoBin that make it an extremely versatile piece of lighting equipment, which in my case is for a modern rock band. We used the KeoBin at our last performance and had a number of positive compliments on the laser patterns produced and how the unit reacted with some of the songs we performed. The unit is constructed of metal and includes a number of features such as DMX input and output, as well as an easily readable and operated control panel on the back of the unit. I can't honestly review the DMX portion of the unit, but I'm fairly certain it will integrate well with DMX systems. The unit thus far has been a "plug and play" laser light unit that I set just adjacent to our drummer, and the microphone on the back of the KeoBin seemed to pickup the kick drum (bass drum) and respond well to each kick. The remote control is a nice feature too. During my initial testing I went through the array of features the remote control offers for display options. Onstage it would be hard for me to be able to play and use the remote, but there are possibilities for doing just such a thing. Better to give the remote to a tech or roadie and let them know when to change up the "show". It was easier for us to just set the unit up and be controlled by the sound input it receives. The KeoBin also comes with mounting frames so it will easily integrate into existing, standard type light trees. I also liked that the KeoBin laser light runs from a 3 prong computer type power cable and also has the ability to be switched to 220V operation if needed. A cooling fan located in the rear of the unit seems to keep the entire unit at a cool operating temperature, especially during our last gig where early evening summer temperatures were still in the mid 90's. Overall I am very impressed with the KeoBin DJ Laser Party Light and plan to use it frequently for many of our upcoming performances. Used in conjunction with other stage lighting, it real sets the mood for gigs and a great addition to the musical presentation. The price point may seem a little higher that similar units (I haven't had the opportunity to review), but I feel the overall construction and light effects it produces are well worth what it is currently listed for. I would highly recommend the KeoBin DJ Laser Party Light to any performing musicians who want to add a little extra pizazz to their shows! ... show more

I use these for my karaoke nights at my house and I gotta say, this is a hit. Makes any small event seen like your out on the town. I don’t know enough to hook it up to anything, but using the audio sync setting seems to be all you really need, and the lasers are pretty bright. Add a smoke machine for even cooler effects.
