Features

  • POWERFUL SOUND & RELIABLE ENDURANCE: Enough volume for room and living room practice, with built-in rechargeable battery, 4 hours playtime on a single charge, package included USB charging cable.
  • TWO-TONE CHANNELS: The tone channel can be switched by the switch on the back of the amplifier. It also has three stages of EQ and Gain and Master regulation. Everything from cleaning to warm overload to restless British distortion.
  • LITTLE SIZE BATTERY LIFE: The DA-10 can play for up to four hours at a peak output of 5 watts. Even so, its tiny design makes it easy to handle with one hand. You can go everywhere with this mini amplifier, just plug and play. Since the current input to the amplifier during charging may not be sufficient to offset the power consumed by the amplifier itself, we recommend charging the amplifier for about 10 minutes before using it when the battery is completely depleted.
  • UNPARALLELED DERAILS: 1/8" Auxiliary Input Jack for Jam-Along with Media Player or CD, 1/8" Headphone Output Jack for Silent Practice, package included 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Audio Cable.
  • STRONG&STURDY: The edge is surrounded by hard material, protecting the amplifier from damage and a pad of rubber makes it stand safe and stable.

  • Perfect for a practice environment
Color: Black
I bought this because my son was interested in the bass guitar I had lying around, and I'd lent the amp (permanently, apparently) to a friend. I came across this and thought it may work well for what we wanted. I'm happy to say it's perfect for what I intended. It's loud enough that my son can easily hear what he's doing without it being so overpowering as a full sized floor amp would be. Don't expect to be vibrating any walls with this thing, but it will let you practice and easily hear what you're doing if you aren't trying to play over anyone else's equipment. It's also extremely small and portable and rechargeable - we've played with it for a good hour now and have yet to plug it in to charge up again. If you're looking for an amp just to noodle around with a guitar or bass and aren't going to be competing with other sound sources, this one fits the bill and sounds good doing it. If you want something that will crank out enough sound to blend in with other instruments and/or vocals this won't do the trick, but it's not intended to. ... show more

  • It Packs a Lot Into a Little (my video for this review gets a little loud) It Packs a Lot Into a Little (my video for this review gets a little loud)
Color: Wood
What do I say about the Donner M-3 3-watt Portable Guitar Amp? How about "it packs a lot into a little". The speaker runs off of either a 9V DC in power cord or six AA batteries. So, while it is not rechargeable, it is most defintely portable. The speaker has both clean and an overdrive channels. You choose between the channels via a push-button on the top of the amp. The rest of the controls on the amp are "Drive", to control gain when using the overdrive channel, "Level" for overall volume, a three band equalizer with controls for "Treble", "Middle", and "Bass", and the "On/Off" power button. The top also has ports for your guitar in, an MP3/music player in, and headphone/earbuds out. I felt that the sound out of the one 3" speaker was solid and not muddy. I did have to level the volume up at about 7 or 8 to get it where the amp was louder than just my playing if I kept the EQ settinsg all at 5. But adjusting the equalizer to higher levels also raised the overall sound output. The overdrive channel I felt started to break up too much for my liking when I played it over level 6 or higher. I play it around 4 and that suits me just fine. The only drawback I have with this amp is that it is not rechargeable (Donner has another model for that). I have played it at a pretty loud volume for about four hours now and I am still on the first set of batteries, so I think they are lasting pretty good. Maybe I'll post a follow-up when these first batteries finally die. And when that happens I will replace them with rechargeable batteries, so that I am not always having to buy new ones. Well, there you have it. This amp works well and provides a lot of sound in a small, portable, package. I hope you found this review helpful. ... show more

  • not bad for a simple amp!
Color: Black
I actually liked this a lot! It’s a very simple amp that has the basic features of adjusting the treble, middle, base (I have no idea how they work I just messed around with it) but also gain and of course a master volume! It’s really easy to use, just plug the cord into the amp and guitar, turn it on, and play! For power you don’t need a constant plug! just charge it up with the… micro usb. Ok, that knocked it down to 4 stars. My day is ruined. (I’m exaggerating of course) in all seriousness I was pleasantly surprised that the micro usb cord and port is not delicate and it charges fairly quickly (experience may vary) There’s also a CRUNCH button, basically distorts the guitar and it’s AWESOME I have no idea how to properly use it, but every time I play a random cord on a guitar it sounds like I’m a rockstar for a second! I should also add that this works with E-Drums or really any electrical instrument with a jack. For 40-50 bucks I’d say this is a decent deal if you want a simple amp for your instrument! ... show more

  • Punches above it's weight limit!
Color: Black
I wasn't expecting too much for this little banger honestly, so when i did plug my guitar in to this tiny amp i truly was shocked by the tone and also the volume. I have bought a bunch of small mini amps and i figured i would give it a try since Amazon would let me return it if it wasn't up to par. Well it not only is up to par, it leaves par way down below somewhere! I really haven't had time to check out any of this little Champ's features but even if none worked i would still be ok due to the sound alone. It is just what it says it is . It is a handy little amp you can take anywhere and it will sound great and it's so small it would fit into your car's glovebox if needed. I recommend to anyone wanting portability without sacrificing good tone and volume, like say the beach, vacation etc. It works on battery and easy charging is good also. Thanks Donner, you really knocked it out of the park this time! ... show more

  • What a great little amp
Color: Wood
I'm super pleased. Not too much, not too little. Perfect for stashing under my coffee table out of sight and shredding during commercial breaks. I like the 9v plug in feature bc who wants to keep messing with batteries or recharging via USB just to use it? Highly recommend.

  • For Beginners
Color: Wood
Bought as an affordable & space saving alternative for a larger amp because I started teaching myself guitar. It's nice that it is both battery operated &/or 9v dc cable powered because sometimes all the cords can be overwhelming, not to mention an eye sore. The sound, initially, was great! Granted, there aren't many ways to change up the tones or sounds, but it does have the option to adjust your treble, mid, & bass. There is also a function to create distortion that i never use only because it almost sounds like it packs too much of a punch for such a small amp. It's not so much distortion as it is a muffled mess, at least for my taste. The headphone jack & Aux jack are a great addition to the item. Very helpful for when I want to practice a bit more discreetly, as well as when I was to add a backtrack to work on my time. Here's the largest flaws for me so far: The sound quality seems to be deteriorating. Keep in mind that I have been practicing almost daily for at least 1.5hr+ since October, so this very well be normal wear & tear. That being said, there has been an increase in humming & crackling, plus the adjustments it allows you to make aren't as precise as before. I've tried multiple cables & cords to see if that could be the issue, but it's been consistent no matter the cables/cords used. Another big drawback for me is there being only one input jack. I knew this upon purchasing, so this is at no fault of the manufacturer. I just underestimated how often I would want to experiment with things that require an additional jack. I've tried splitters, both new & old, & with a variety of cables, to remedy this, but this only leads to both muffled sound, as well as crackling or humming. Overall, this is a great amp for any beginner, but if you're at a place where you want to start experimenting with pedals or different sounds or of you are more advanced than a beginner, I'd definitely spend a bit more of an amp that has more versality & longevity. ... show more

  • Very nice, compact, portable amplifier
Color: Wood
I bought this tiny amplifier so I wouldn't have to lug my 60 lbs keyboard amp into my basement shop where I'm tuning up an old Moog synthesizer. While most of the work is done with signal generator o-scope It's nice to here the sound output while tweaking circuits. I had low expectations for this amp given the size and low price. I was very pleased when the amp did a great job of producing a clean (with the Drive circuit off) sound at a very sufficient volume. I never guessed 3 watts would be as loud (in my workshop) and sound do good. And It takes up a tiny footprint on the workbench. After I'm done with the Moog overhaul I'm looking forward to hooking it up to to my Strat - I anticipate it will do a great job as a practice amp. It's great it can run on batteries providing maximum portability ... show more

  • My new travel companion: small, cute, sounds great ! My new travel companion: small, cute, sounds great !
Color: Wood
Reason I ordered this little amp is because I wanted something small and light weight. I do have a vintage Fender tube amp at home but with 45lbs it stays home! This mini amp though I can take on a plane and stow it underneath the seat! It runs on batteries (6xAA included) if I want which is very handy, but a power supply is also part of the package. The Donner M-3 amp has 2 channels, clean and overdrive. I personally am mostly intersted in clean tones, i tried out the dirt channel to see if it works, and yes, it does. Donner calls is ‘overdrive’ but for me it’s more like a fuzz channel. A nice effect, alas, I’m into clean, and clean it does very nicely. The amp has 3 tone adjustment knobs, bass, middle, highs which are very effective, especially if one listens via the built-in headphone output. Another feature which was important for me is that besides the obvious guitar input it has also an mini ‘aux’ input that can be used for playback together with your guitar or on it’s own - i.e. iphone, ipad, computer output! As small as this amp is, audio sounds far far better than through those microscopic ‘speakers’ from a laptop or tablet. So, is it a keeper? Yes, totally! It’s small, it’s cute, it sounds great! ... show more
