The Hush X Live is a great portable guitar solution for traveling. Most people with a full size guitar know that a regular sized guitar will take up a large space in your car. That’s fine if you have no other passengers and nothing else in your car. But add some passengers and/or luggage and you might end up leaving your full sized guitar at home. So having a small size travel guitar for traveling is quite helpful. I am not a fan of small sized acoustic guitars. Because of their small size, they invariably sound very thin/weak. But an electric guitar with pickups, like this Hush X Live guitar, can still sound great even though it is about as small as a traveler guitar can be. It replicates the sound of an electric guitar just fine. If you want it to sound more like an acoustic guitar, you can try fiddling with the built in amp controls but I am ok with an electric guitar sounding like an electric guitar, so I really haven’t explored the tone controls on the built in Amp very much. But there are a few knobs to adjust if you want to modify the tone. The built in Amp is packed in the included guitar case separate from the guitar body. It can be charged with a USB-C cable (included) while it is separated from the guitar body, which is nice. The Amp isn’t super loud, but that makes sense to me as a super load amp which is physically attached to a guitar body would invite feedback and you wouldn’t want that. It is also extremely nice to be able to play the guitar without headphones as I find headphone cords a bit of a hassle when playing guitar. The guitar case of the Hush X Live is slightly longer than the regular Hush X by a few inches. But comparing the guitar bodies otherwise feel the same between the regular Hush X and the Hush X Live, so the extra length of the Hush X live case is due to the larger frame body, ( I assume, I didn’t measure the actual guitar length ). The bottom frame of the Hush X Live is also a complete guitar shape where the regular Hush X bottom frame is more minimalist. I do prefer the full shape of the Hush X Live model, but I don’t think it affects my playability of either model. The Hush X Live model definitely had a thicker width to the bottom frame so it feels more rugged to me, and more solid on my leg. The Hush X Live feels a bit heavier than the regular Hush X model, no doubt due to the built in Amp. The tuning controls on the guitar work just fine and it is easy and quick to get it in tune with the included tuner. I feel that my guitar stays in tune just fine while I’m playing it so the tuner design is solid. The neck and frets feel nice and smooth. I did adjust the neck torsion rod a bit to get the action down lower. This is not hard to do, but you can always take it into a guitar shop if you aren’t sure what to do. It is also explained in the manual how to do this adjustment. All-in-all, I really like this guitar for traveling. I am really happy to be able to travel places and still keep up with my guitar practice. There are cheaper travel guitars out there, but I think this is the best value for the money, and includes everything you need to set it up and start playing. Everything you might need … a guitar tuner, strap, strings, etc are already included.

This guitar has everything you need to practice on the go. You get the guitar, an amp, picks, tuner, strap, and a tool to adjust things on the guitar. Everything is nicely stored in a case. The guitar can be used by itself or through the provided amp. The amp is connected with a short patch cable from the guitar to it. The amplifier has built-in effects and emulators that can give you a variety of sounds. There's a noise gate, delay, reverb, modulation, and a few amp emulators. There's also a headphone jack for quiet practice. The amplifier also has a bluetooth function so it can be used to practice along with tracks (or just play music in general). It can also be removed altogether if you need to use the guitar without it. If you do decide to remove the amp and play without it, the guitar feels a bit top-heavy. It's definitely still playable, but it feels much more balanced with the amp installed. Tuning the guitar is a bit awkward because of the headless design, it just takes a bit of getting used to. The volume of the amp does leave some to be desired. I compared it to the volume of my acoustic guitar and I've got to say that it's pretty close. It works well for practice, but I really wish it was a bit louder. Obviously it can be connected to a larger amp for more volume. Overall, this guitar feels great. I'm super happy with it and it's perfect for my needs. It has a few downsides, but nothing significant. It's super easy to play and travel with. I am amazed with the quality of the guitar and how it basically ticks all the boxes. I definitely recommend it.

I ordered this electric guitar as a Father's Day gift for my husband, who has been playing guitar and singing for years, so he's not easily impressed by gimmicky instruments. Thankfully, this one turned out to be a huge hit. The first thing that stands out is the sleek, modern design. It looks incredibly clean and well built, and it has more weight to it than I expected, which gives it a quality feel instead of feeling like a toy.
