  • Incredible Sound and Versatility – A Must-Have Delay Pedal!
The media could not be loaded. Having tried some of Donner’s other pedals, I went in with pretty high expectations because they’ve been really consistent with their quality. I also tried their EMBARK phaser, which was fantastic, so I was excited to see how their delay pedal would hold up—and yeah, it definitely delivers. This is a really great, effective delay pedal that works exactly how you’d want it to. For my demo, I started by playing a clean riff with no pedal, just a little spring reverb to set the baseline tone. Then, I played the same riff three more times—low, medium-high, and then all the way up. For the last test, with everything maxed out, I played a few single notes first so you can hear how the timing of the delay reacts, then I played the same riff again to show how it sounds when pushed to the limit. The pedal has three basic controls—Time, Mix, and Repeat. I kept Repeat at around 30% because anything over halfway starts creating too much feedback, even on a clean tone. That can be useful for some ambient effects, but if you just want a solid delay without it getting overwhelming, keeping it under 50% works best. It also sounds great with distortion. Whether you want a subtle delay to thicken up your tone or something more spacey and atmospheric, it handles it all really well. It’s a super versatile pedal but still really easy to dial in, which is what makes it so good. The design has a modern silver-gray finish that looks clean without being flashy. It also comes with stickers if you want to customize it, though I haven’t put any on yet. It’s small and lightweight, but the metal construction makes it feel sturdy. Overall, it’s just a really solid delay pedal. It sounds great, does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and for the price, it’s definitely worth picking up! ... show more

  • Great analog delay / echo pedal
This range of pedals comes with plain white enclosures and you decorate them yourself with provided stickers. Each pedal comes with the same 15 stickers. There’s good variety and my son helped me pick the sticker based on the sounds I created. The ECHO is a delay / echo pedal that has 3 knobs: Time, Mix and Repeat. Time sets the delay / time between repeats. Repeat sets how many echoes you hear, from 1 to many. Mix controls how loud the echoes are relative to your dry signal; you can have your guitar lost in an ambient wash of repeats or have it more “out front” with the echoes in the background. The fundamental tone of the repeats is dark, which some might call “analog sounding”. It’s great for ensuring your dry signal cuts through. This is honestly a great first delay pedal. Excellent built quality and the simple controls make it easy to use. For the asking price, it is very easy to recommend. For the sticker my son chose.. it’s the cute “Meow” sticker because apparently the dark delays and the way I played sounded like a cat haha ... show more

  • Great pedal with a lot of versatility
I'm relatively new to playing the guitar and this is my second pedal. It works really well and as advertised. Others have already written about the various knobs and settings, and I'll just echo (pun intended!) that the three settings give a lot of configurability to get the effect you want. I also found that setting the repeat knob above 50% gives a very distracting effect (at least for the type of music I play). In general, I like all of the settings below 50%, but I'm sure others will find uses above these settings. This is a very versatile pedal and I'm finding that it really makes my playing sound better. It's also relatively small and doesn't take up a lot of space, which is great because I intend to add more pedals. Overall, I think this is a great product. ... show more

  • Awesome analog delay pedal in a compact design
First I would like to let everyone know that Donner pedals are very good quality. I have several other pedals by Donner and I love them. Don't let the compact size deter you. This analog pedal great if all you need is a simple delay. The pedal comes with some cool stickers so you can customize the look of it to your liking. ... show more

  • Works good overall, but you can't get a 100% wet signal out of it
This works well for general delay usage, but I'm experimenting with bi-amping (using two amps with two different tones). I was hoping to use the pedal to delay the sound of one of the amps by a tiny portion of a second behind the other amp to reduce phase cancellation and sound a bit more like two guitarists. In order to work right, I need 100% delay and 0% live non-delayed sound. The best this can do when the MIX is cranked is give about 60% delay and 40% live non-delayed sound. This works like most entry-level delay pedals and should work great for most any single-amp pedalboard. The plain-white presentation with a bunch of stickers you can use to customize the look of the pedal is pretty cool. There's quite a few stickers included. ... show more

  • Great Pedal
Like millions of others I was motivated to pick up the guitar when The Beatles came to America. So I've been playing for a long time. Over the years I've accumulated a few guitars and many stomp boxes. The Donner Embark works great. Just 3 knobs, but many alternatives. I was able to get some real nice sounds. I did find that advancing the "repeat" knob too far leads to a feedback loop. But that is the case with every echo/delay box I've used. It is built very well. Sturdy, and the potentiometers are smooth and do not wobble at all. With the direct feed there is no effect on the guitar's sound. I would have liked if it came with little bumper pads for the bottom, but this is no big deal. In my opinion if you want an analog echo/delay pedal you can't go wrong with the Donner. It can be adjusted from mild echo all the way to experimental sounds. Highly recommended. ... show more
