  • Comparable to a grand
Style: DEP-20 Weighted Digital Piano with Stand
I’ve looked for a digital piano that was as close as possible to the feel and sound of a real grand piano, & this one did not disappoint! It is a full keyboard & the keys are weighted and feel like you’re playing a real piano & not digital. I feel the sound quality is great & the pedals function as they should. I ordered it with the stand and it was super easy to set up. The keyboard is a tad on the heavy side, but I was able to manage it by myself, but 2 people to set it up onto the stand is easier. This is a great compromise if you don’t have the space or budget for a grand piano, but want a similar feel & sound of one. ... show more

  • Good portable piano for the price
Style: DEP-20 Weighted Digital Piano
We purchased this portable piano so our budding pianist could practice while we were travelling. It worked perfectly. The keys feel like a regular piano. The lower notes sound slightly off, but not a lot. The upper notes sound just like a grand piano. It was easy to set up and we put it back in the original packaging to take it back home. At 25 pounds and nearly five feet long, it is not the easiest thing to move, but it is far more portable than moving a piano and more convenient than going to a piano store to practice on their piano. It seems to be very sturdy and we expect it will last a long time. ... show more

  • Great sounding piano

Love this piano. Sounds and feels great. My daughter plays it all of the time. After a year we haven't had any problems with it.

  • Great digital piano but please read for details
Style: DEP-20 Weighted Digital Piano
Hi I'm a professional musician, I've recorded many records and worked in a lot of Studios so I will give you the review from a professional perspective. First and foremost as a digital piano encompassing weighted Keys 88 with a realistic piano sound this is worth every penny. In fact this sounds much better than a lot of the keyboards that's even more pricey than this at Guitar Center Brands like Williams and things like that. It's very solid fairly heavy but well built the keys feel great and as I mentioned the main grand piano sound is really as good as it can get without going into the multi-thousands now having said that if the purpose for this purchase is play a piano and to have a fairly small footprint this is a great way to go if you're buying it for the additional features such as the 238 sounds the drums things like that that is not at equal professional par as the feel and sound of the piano. Of the 238 sounds I'd say maybe 25 or 30 would be usable on a professional recording some do sound very nice but many of them are the ones that you would typically find on a Casio keyboard. For professionals that plan to use this for gigs the only thing I will say is that think of it as a portable piano and not so much as a synthesizer. There is no way to for instance go from patch number for to patch 220 without scrolling one of the time through the numbers there is no keypad so for performers they want a real quick change be prepared for a little extra time. My only other complaint of this keyboard is with the double voice option, where you can layer a piano and a string together there is no way to edit that function meaning that if you want 65% of the piano sound with a 35% follow through with strings you can't do that it's equal 50/50 which makes it very difficult for some applications. For me a piano sound with a following string section considerably lower is a nice touch but then again this is a $300 keyboard and in itself is worth it just for the piano feel and the piano sound everything else added as a bonus is okay I guess for the recreational user and not so much for the professional however I am very happy with the purchase because I really just wanted a piano sound like as if I had a piano at my home I don't particularly need a million different sounds so I will give it four stars instead of five because of the pre mentions drawbacks. ... show more

  • Excellent Piano at an Excellent Price
Style: DEP-20 Weighted Digital Piano
This piano is absolutely gorgeous. I don't typically leave reviews. But for the DEP-20, I'll make an exception. I was a little weary at first about buying it because of the reviews complaining about the thickness. But to me, it doesn't look bad and it is definitely not a deal breaker. I watched many videos online comparing the DEP-20 to the Alesis Recital Pro and Yamaha P45/P71, and the consensus seemed to be that the DEP-20 is a better buy between the three. So I decided to go for it. And up to now, I have zero regrets. What I love the most about this piano is that it has 88 weighted keys and it provides an extensive selection of voices and rhythms at the same time. You just don't see a lot of this for this price. The voices and rhythms aren't "great" per se, but they do the trick for me. And the speakers are surprisingly loud. I have no need to get an amp. I'm "upgrading" from a Yamaha S08 that I used to take with me on gigs. But it is now over 20 years old. I remember paying $1000 for it. And the sounds are amazing. But it had no rhythm presets and no built-in speakers. Which means I couldn't use it just for fun and to mess around at home. The DEP-20 fits my needs better in that respect, and for just a fraction of the price. I also think I received a newer version of the DEP-20, because I've seen a lot of videos and pictures of the piano with the older Donner logo (with the black note symbol as the "D" in Donner). My piano came with the newer logo, which is some sort of a beat symbol. This was a very pleasant surprise to me because I'm not very fond of the older logo. I added some pics for your review. The pedal, detachable music stand, and wall adapter come with the package. Everything considered, the Yamaha S08 treated me very well. And still stands tall (I'm saddened to have to part ways with it). With the DEP-20, time will tell. But so far, our honeymoon has been awesome :). ... show more

  • Rich, full sound very similar to a Grand Piano.
Style: DDP-400 Premium Upright Piano
I love this keyboard, has wonderful rich sound. It has everything that I was looking for in a piano keyboard. Downside, Item arrived damaged, looks like it was dropped during delivery. The sliding lid was busted and the front of it was unattached and broken. The keyboard still works and plays well. I’m disappointed that the carriers were not more careful with the shipping but it is not the fault of the seller as that’s outside their control. ... show more
