I have multiple 3d printers and most of them have different types of build plates, such as carborundum glass, PC (polycarbonate), PEX, LokBuild and PEI. I have a couple of other brands of spring steel flexible PEI build plates and this one compares very favorably to them in every way. Some of the PEI build plates out there that are dual sided have a texture or are smooth and I personally prefer the textured, especially if I am working with a filament that has adhesion issues. Each type of surface, smooth or textured, is better suited for each of the various types of filaments, especially ones like PETG and TPU. A smooth surface is great for PLA and ABS, but it is not recommended for PETG and TPU, which do better on a textured surface. The K1C build plate has a nozzle cleaning strip which is something new and not on any of the other build plates that I have and I have quite a few of them. The Creality Official K1C Build Plate surface looks great, and I really like that the texture is not as overly aggressive (think smaller grains or pebbles) as some of the other brands out there. Personally, I think the level of texture is perfect, not too much and not too little. The Creality Official K1C Build Plate does not come with a magnetic base but if you are already using a removable, spring steel build plate it will work great with your existing magnetic base. Like with any time you change the build plate, even if you are going from one magnetic build plate to another, you will want to make sure to check, and adjust if needed, your z-offset. There will be differences in the thickness of the build plates from one to another, and even if it is small, it can really affect your first layer adhesion. There was a 0.05mm difference in thickness between this plate and the one I took off. Depending on the amount of difference and the type of filament you are using it could cause your print to stick too well or not well enough. The prints stuck very well to the build plate and after it cooled down, they popped right off without having to remove the plate and flex it. I will be trying it with additional types of filaments such as PETG, ABS and TPU and I will update my review once I have done so. Overall, I really like the Creality Official K1C Build Plate and highly recommend it! Sooooo I know this is my fault but I bought this for my ender 3 3d printer and it doesn't have a magnetic plate but it stills works really well and easy to get prints off of it. Not much warping either. One thing that is a must though is making sure you put a decent layer of glue on this plate.

The printer should've came with a gold version of this bed. The strip on the back is available on Thangs to print in TPU and attach to the plates you've already bought. Adhesion is poor, everything still needs glue stick

The media could not be loaded. Didn't know how useful that little back nozzle wiper was until I recieved this. Helps out A LOT! Everything I print sticks to the surface great. Feels strong and durable!
