    • This is the same version of Donkey Kong game that I played on my old, OLD red Wii!
This is indeed THE Donkey Kong game like I had when I got a red Wii for my 50th birthday!! I wanted something that I could play with my Grandkids - especially, my now 7-year-old grandson. His family has the newest game “console”, Switch. (I just could not figure out those controllers or those games!) We neither one had enough patience to wait until I learned what I needed to know in order to “compete”! SO, we went “OLD SCHOOL” and he doesn’t even know it! He got pretty impatient with me before I “got the hang” of playing again, but after some practice on my part, it all started to come back to me! NOW . . . we are having a LOT of fun together!! I have to say, we are BOTH learning A LOT about patience and working together! Since we are on the same “team” neither one wins or loses. Teamwork. We work together, we win together! It has been good for both of us!! Not everything about video games is bad - especially if you play a fun game, play for fun, and play together! What better way for kids to learn patience and good sportsmanship? Donkey Kong is a really good game for younger kids to “play” with a grown-up! When the kid is the little monkey and the adult is the big gorilla (Kong), the adult (Kong) is basically “running the game”. The younger person (monkey) rides on Kong’s back. They can’t get too far away from each other because the game automatically whooshes them back together. The Monkey can fly and help out in some ways and Kong pounds and jumps and makes funny noises! It is a very good game to play together when one doesn’t really know how to use the controller or play the game. It won’t take long before the younger “pupil” will be begging to trade controllers so he can be “in charge”! Have fun!!! ... show more

Works perfectly. Only downside is it doesn't have the game user's guide to know how to play so you have to use trial and error to figure it out.

I love this game. I love how they kept a lot of the music the same as the original. It is really a walk down memory lane. Great game! Mine was refurbished and is perfect quality. You can’t even tell it’s been refurbished.

What a fun game to play. I am not very good with all of the jumping and obstacles in Donky Kongs way. I am lucky to have a very smart Grandson who helps me along with the game. You go JIM. Thanks for the help.
