For the first NES The game cartridge needed a lot of force to insert and remove,the spring that holds down the cartridge did not work,pixelated screen first time i tried a game,then a blinking power light typically indicates a problem with the 72-pin connector or the cartridge connection...yikes refunded and requested a replacement the replacement would display a white screen that would flash,while the power button blinked tested with 5 different games....REFUNDED ... show more

Be advised- this does NOT come with an RF switch adapter, which you will need if you want to play without the composite color cord cables! If you want to hook up with the coax cable, you will need to buy this adapter! Despite this oversight from me, the product was delivered as advertised.

Have been waiting for years to actually commit to getting an old game console. I read through many reviews and saw where people had units dead on arrival, broke immediately, became glitchy, or people even replaced internal parts. So I was wary. This unit has worked fine from the start and only glitched a few toiles. I just needed to take cartridge out and put it back in. Of course, I took pleasure in blowing in the cartridge like the old days!! This game unit has done exactly what I intended for it to do. It has allowed me to hide from the family for an hour a week and fail miserably at SMB 2 like I did decades ago. And I'm fine with that! ... show more

Looked brand new and completely renewed, I was actually really impressed with how new the gray looked. However, it was not the console my dad had games for. Had to return and could not use because we didn't have any carts for it. Womp womp. But if this was what I intended to purchase, I'd be raving anyway.
